i reached diamond 5 last season (season 2) and when we went into season 3 i got rewards for plat 1, i checked that it still said that i was diamond 5 just before the start of season 3. im guessing its based on the hidden mmr as i did lose some games in diamond 5 but i never lost the 20 or won the 7 for the rank to change, i feel like i should still get the rewards for diamond 5 as my rank on the account didnt change.

The 7 win 20 loss system doesn’t preventing your true rank from changing it just prevents you from being able to see it changing.
