I was kinda surprised they went with that design but I kinda see why since it can offer way more facial expressions for emotes and stuff so i am kinda ok with that.

What bugs me is this metal part here. It is just so off and doesn’t match with the hi-tech design of the rest of the body.

Echo’s design is pretty cool and very state-of-the-art when compared to the other Omnics. Though Omnics can come in any shape or size since they are just sentient laptops with different casings.

But McCree needed to boot her up, so perhaps she is a human-created Omnic. Orisa is a mostly human-made Omnic as well (Omnic parts put together by a human) and she is capable of displaying emotion with her >_< eyes and other natural Omnics tend to have very stoic-barely-there features. Echo could’ve been an invention of Overwatch shortly before OW imploded.

I disliked her face the moment I saw it. Idk if I’d call it creepy but it just looks weird. It’s like they decided to give her an actual face a the last minute for the sake of making her appear more “human” and relatable or whatever. They should have kept the omnic face from the concept, imo.

I like her final design a lot to be honest.
I mean, some of the others looked a bit clunky and less developed to be one of the most prestigious omnics to exist.

I know poeple dont really like the fact she has a face, but its friendlier and more personable. The only character without a face is Bastion, and thats because he is supposed to be a war machine and nothing more.

The only change really is her face, and you can see underneath she has this design (Excuse the youtube thumbnail, I presume it was before Echo was shown :P)

So in her final design you can faintly see that camera thingy underneath.

I respect your opinion but couldn’t disagree with it more. One of the best character designs in the game. Remember that the rarer skins tend to alter the design a decent amount (a lot of Ana’s have masks covering her face completely, so Echo could easily have something similar - I’m assuming it’s the face alone you’re basing the “worst design ever” opinion on).

1. Firstly, she is too fragile and delicate to be DPS.
2. Secondly, she is too slim and her hitbox seems really small, she would need to be in some kind of bubble all the time if she was tank and that wouldn’t look cool.
3. Thirdly, devs are aware that there are too many DPS in the game, so they will release more healers and tanks now.

She is going to be healer or support with shields instead of healing.

You gotta think more outside the box. I want her to be a tank who projects barrier walls or puts Zarya bubbles on enemies to quarantine them. She doesn’t have to psychically body-block to be a tank, which also means a tank can look “fragile and delicate.” You could make the best tank in the game with 1 HP if they could put up infinite barrier walls and other crazy things.

She is so ethereal in shape and colors, it looks like she levitates like my Zen or flys which would be even better - and i love the idea of her face being projected, and probably able to morph into different states. Imagine the skins she could have <3

So, we are all excited for echo, she’s a good character and “Heck yeah!” We got another female omnic character! YAY! However. I’m quite dissapointed in her design, honestly. I’m pretty sure this is the first time the concept art looked a lot better than our current characters, but if they are gonna keep Echo’s current design (Which is probably the worst design i’ve ever seen on a hero aside from a hamster in a mech suit) they could just at least give us a concept art skin for her as a legendary. Y’know, for those who prefer that one. It’s also a good way to make us waste our money trying to get her skin. You know? Take it from me. Actually, another idea. Why not give our heroes concept skins?

Most people actually really dig the design, you are one of the few who don’t… just saying.

Does she use liquid ferrous material in tandem with ultrastrong magnets to create structures she needs for perfuming healing duties, imagine an arm you could just morph into a scalpel or whatever
