I think you just need to come in here with the respect for everyone else just the same as you expect us to respect you.
This is a VIDEO GAME. it isn’t the end of the world if someone leaves the matches you are in. You dont receive any paygrade just like the rest of us. video games is a recreational activity. Unless you are playing in IRL overwatch league or for a professional E-sports competition, it doesn’t matter. The points are made up, and nobody cares about your stats in Quickplay.
Online games are always going to be non-consistent. People play this game at work, at home, with or without a family and many of the other facets of life that happens.
It comes off as a selfish 'me me" attitude when you expect everyone else to bend to your whim.
Overwatch does offer a COMPETITIVE mode with those rules. and that is the best Q for you, based upon your discussions. I strongly recommend the mode.
If you are put off by people leaving in Non-competitive modes, don’t play it. The devs designed the system to be a revolving door, it does not matter if you win or lose AT ALL. you aren’t given any in-game money, cosmetics or anything for that matter.
If that is the case and you want a complete match. I would hound the devs to make less “cheesey” matches where people are fairly pitted against one another as opponents and the matches are fair. Until that day comes where matches can be “fair” and “balanced” leavers are a thing.
It beats what happens in other games i have played, where the penalties for leaving are so high that players DOX, DoS or in some instances SWAT one another. Dead by daylight being that example.
Again, not trying to be rude. but that is what “gamer culture” is. You have to expect people to rage quit matches, and you have to expect the games that survive the best are “revolving door” games that have ease-of-use . Because if a person can squeeze in a quick match or two, here and there. It makes these games bigger than hard-core games that are just not fun to play and those games are all DED.
