I never though about the jump thing. Yeah I guess you’re right pn that one. Maybe it could be set to where if she starts boosting the player can press in a stick or something set up the strafe?
False, all D.vas fear lasers. Mei, and Zarya are greatly feared. Winston and Moira are more so annoyances. Symmetra is between the two groups depending how changed up her weapon is.
Not that at all. I explained it in the comments that it would be cool to do and look at since she is based off mecha from pop culture that all do it.
I agree, Dva is grossly OP. She does do everything too good, including having the biggest crit box in the game along with the biggest model. I think we should nerf the crit box, it’s just too good.

You can fly and be off range 90% of the time, I think is a fair trade, on the other hand I recall Pharah mains complaining about hitscans back in the day, you know, complaining about their alleged counters, if you are getting killed by D.Va 80% of the time sorry but you seem to be a terrible Pharah, hell, in gold and below Pharah gets at least 2 kills before D.Va can take her down, and of course, Pharah is not exactly prime material for platinum and above.
I may have finished gold the season but i was 3000+ season 3 4 5 6. I am a pretty good pharah. I love hitscans on the field. It gives me a challenge. DVA is not fun to fight against. literaly boost up DPS fall and that is it. If i play off the map she cant kill me cool BUT no cover so if the enemy does have a hit scan RIP. If i play around my team she can fly into me no problem since my team is fighting the enemy and not worried about me. So that leaves flanking. Can’t flank because then zero percent chance of getting support from the team. So what to do? get off pharah forever I guess since DVA is in every game
Winston has a huge head and big model. People don’t complain about him because he has real weaknesses.
Dva has a massively bloated kit.

Why did she get the missiles in the first place? I mean I think it is pretty cool but What was the problem before that made her get that?
Probably a mix of people whining that she needed to be more aggressive mixed with Blizzard’s obsession about making the game more fun to watch for eSports than fun to play.
As far as I’m concerned it ruined the character. She was no longer fun to play or diverse any more, it basically turning her into a selfish little DPS instead of a tank that actually protected her team. All D.Va needed back then was her armour restored and she would have been fine. Thanks to this she’s got a pathetic DM and is all about aggression now, making her completely one-dimensional.
Sure, she’s really popular now and really viable. But she’s not the same hero that she used to be. The reworks of both her and Mercy pretty much marked the point where this game was no longer worth playing and it only seems to have gotten worse since. eSports and Blizzard’s nonsensical bass-ackwards balancing methodology, combined with refusing to listen to PTR feedback properly, have ruined this once great game IMO.
There is the counter, maybe stop playing off position as usual.
I play with my team more often than flanking since no one picks mercy so I need to be with them. The problem is I am a flying target. With no reliable ability to disengage when she charges me it is RIP for me. I can’t even boop her back or boop myself since her DM will eat it.
I have just come to the conclusion that my time as pharah is gonna just keep me in gold. Which is fine I guess since I love playing her but I find it odd that after 8 seasons that this is now a problem and not before.
There is no position out of reach of Dva. This is part of the issue. It’s why dive is so strong.

Yes there is, you have at least 15 seconds on the air she has 5 and she can’t move like you do, micro missiles have basically no splash damage, you do, she has a small effective range on her guns, her missiles have no spread and require more lead than yours too, D.Va out in the air chasing you is a D.Va that is not doing anything else for her team, Hog can peel her off, Zarya can slice through her, even Junkrat can peel her off.

She is actually doing the best thing possible for her team if she kills the pharah.
When she was more tanky (DM uptime) people kept complaining, people just want their “PotG ult super OWL talent why am I still in diamond plz jeff pander” and that’s it.
I feel she really doesn’t need a change.

The Overwatch team have done nothing but contradict themselves when it came to D.Va.
First she was too squishy back in November 2016, so they gave her more armour to improve her survivability.
Then they took that away two months later by reversing her health and armour while completely ignoring the fact that it was largely the recent arrival of Ana on the scene that was making D.Va so hard to kill, so she ended up being even less survivable than she was before November, when she was apparently too squishy. So the Overwatch team just completely contradicted themselves with their own actions in the space of 2 months.
Then Geoff Goodman came along in March/April 2017 following the outcry and this and claimed that they wouldn’t give her her armour back because she wasn’t supposed to be a high-damage, flying assassin, she was supposed to be a tank. All the while completely ignoring everybody who pointed out what hypocrites the Overwatch Team were being after claiming she was too fragile before, then buffing her, only to nerf her into a state where she was more fragile than she was in the first place. Also, he completely missed the point that most D.Va mains were actually asking for a boost to her survivability in a defensive sense, not an offensive one.
Then in July/August last year they just decide to turn D.Va into the very thing that Geoff Goodman said that she wasn’t: a high damage, flying assassin instead of a tank. So, again, the Overwatch Team completely contradicted themselves and outright changed her into something that they themselves said before she was not supposed to be.
But apparently D.Va is in a fine place right now and “working as intended” despite the fact that her design has been turned on its head and she doesn’t resemble her original concept much at all any more.

Im letting you know right now. If a DVA has LoS on a pharah she will kill her simple as that. I am not saying she is too strong or needs counters. Fudge the post was not even about Pharah VS DVA it is just something that came up.
I really enjoyed Dva when she was more of a tank.Now that her role is a lot more damage oriented I feel like I’m playing her wrong lol. Her shield is different to the other tank’s and I’d like it if her kit was more about protecting her team than just being another DPS.
