Not gonna lie, I’m actually expecting a mild nerf that mainly affects high-level play (because she isn’t good outside of high ranks) combined with some sort of buff to counter beams.
People in low ranks will see this as a net-buff and complain about her more.
I mean, she is good outside of high ranks just not anywhere near as OP as people make her out to be.
Even if they dumpstered her, if there’s a compensation buff the usual suspects will claim that the nerfs mean nothing.
What I’m actually expecting is a mild personal nerf, larger global tank nerfs to armor and the passive, and the beam resistance buff. Overall, I actually do think it’s likely to be a net buff when compared to other tanks because I think all tanks will take it on the chin. But a nerf overall in power, a legitimate nerf.
I’ve got a bad feeling I’ll be playing less DF and more Sig after tomorrow. Not thrilled about it.
… unless Blizz rolls back the knockback resistance of tanks too. Then nvm we’re still in business Doom! Hog will fall into that effing well again!

Incorrect. Her synergy with juno and brig’s synergy with juno is literally the meta.

Brig makes juno unkillable with her mobility stacked on 125 repair packs with 3 charges.
Juno can easily keep a shielding brig up for long enough for a dive engage to not matter. It’s the most unkillable backline in the game, it’s even better that Juno just so happens to pair perfectly with dva at the same time.
You have an unkillable tank who’s flying through a speed ring at mach 80 so obviously the solution would be to kill the supports that keep the tank alive (or at least that’s the biggest counterplay everyone notes about raid tanks “just go for the supports lol!”) oh look, they’re also unkillable! Woo hoo!

overwatch balance is a vicious cycle sometimes. still there are some heroes that remain in a poor state for a long time
symmetra, bastion and mei come to mind, or changed so much that you wish you can go back in time and play the old versions again
i have been lucky with my hero choices tho. widowmaker has always been strong even in her worse states. as long as she has one shot. sombra over history hasnt been to bad compared to heroes like sym, mei, bastion and even junk. she always is just below the hitscans. ashe is ashe lol… very strong most of the time

if both supports can take care of each other while the tank survives, without their help easily… then the issue comes from the tank design X)
It’s always the same ones they buff and it comes indirectly to a nerf for the four ones you just mentioned

You can almost guarantee that after this patch Mauga will be the cried about tank, so they’ll buff Orissa.
Then everyone will moan about that so they’ll buff Zarya.

no other tansk can entierly negate every damage done…hell she even negates healing projectile
meanign she also blocks ult charge with her DM, unlike other tanks when they are also unkillable…at least you can charge an ult to either kill the tank or his backline
