Dps, support, tank šŸ¤”

Which one fits your play style the most and why?:joy:

This is going to be epic.

Super simple today, why did you choose the class you play most?

Yes some of you play all classes and don’t care, but I know most of you have preferences.

I personally play dps flankers in most of every game. Being mobile, agile, super fun for mešŸ‘

How about you guys?

And no, this isn’t only for overwatch, you can list other games as wellšŸ˜„

Ehh tanks are kind of dead to me after the recent balance changes and i only like playing lucio out of the supports, i guess dps is my preference then.

Off tank.
I like to take damage and its a natural role for me, all i have to do is follow the Code of Mine.

Those supports? Mine.
That tank? Mine.
Those dps jumping into my range? Mine.
This point? Mine.
That point? Also mine.
This space? Mine.

Easy.

I usually enjoy supports and enabling my team. Moira and Mercy especially, although I do try with Ana and Lucio. Just not that good on them. Brig I actually suck at.

Can’t play tanks unless they have 4 legs or angrily scream in Russian.

But beyond that, I’m a filthy Junkrat one trick no matter how much I try to flex. I suck at most DPS roles beyond Junkrat. Although I’d like to think I’m an okay Torb and Symm

I play support mostly because everyone is happy to see a support show up, and as long as you do a half decent job you are always an asset to the team.

Lately I am playing DPS more because it feels like you have a lot more of your destiny under your control. I can be an amazing support but if the DPS make stupid hero choices and can’t get kills, it means nothing. But if I’m DPS, I can not make a stupid hero choice and if I fail to get kills, it’s on me. Of course the downside is that team comps are worse, so then it gets out of your hands again. :man_shrugging: Nothing on Earth seems to drive away Tank players faster than an instalock sniper, even if I know its the best thing I can bring to the team.

Mostly supports, and protector tanks.
I’m trying to learn Zarya, and I’m hoping for a new main tank I resonate with.
And Ana, I want to get better at her, but it’s hard for someone with terrible aim.

I also really enjoy Mei, controlling the flow of battle and area denial is something I enjoy doing. But I rarely have the chance to play DPS in QP without sacrificing other people’s fun.

Support. I’m an enabler

Support. It’s just the fact that my team is relying on me to keep them alive. Makes me feel like I have an impact every game.

Used to be DPS, but then I realized that I was bad at DPS.

Going back to my days playing Smite I’ve always been more of a tank person and Overwatch fit the bill of how I like to play perfectly. High health, medium damage characters all the way. Aka why I play a lot of Roadhog.

I like to play utility supports. So Ana and Zen fit my playstyle a lot.

Though I still love McCowboy <3

Also, if you couldn’t tell by my choices, I’m not big on mobility.

I use to be a sym main before the last rework. She had a sort of smothering playstyle that made it extremely difficult for enemies to make progress. Sym 2.0 just had the most unique kit in any game I’ve played. Hopefully one day there will be another game with something like that.

I don’t play overwatch much anymore

Off tanks. I enjoy being the center of the team that facilitates things rather than being at the front of the team. I play Zarya/Hog/D.Va/WB an even amount.

I also love Winston, but I don’t get chances to play him without being Reaper/Mei/McRee/Hanzo’d all that often. It’s a bad time to try and learn him.

DPS. I like dealing big numbers, it’s fun chunking the enemy’s health bar in some way.
I tend to gravitate towards tough melee DPS types. Second choice is your typical mage. Though I tend to like healing as well(though not as much as DPS). It’s always interesting learning how to heal(but I’m usually pretty bad at it :joy:)

i’d call myself a support main, I started maining symmetra at her 2.0 form but now she got destroyed.
im a mix of support and dps because sym is dps now smh.

Eh, I always choose healer in any game that has them. Was a Holy Priest main in WoW. Didn’t see any reason to change that up when I started playing Overwatch

I lean heavily towards Tanks as I can play em all except D.Va (not because of ability but because I hate her ā€œpersonalityā€ with every cell in my body)

However I tend to go through phases where I’ll main Tanks, Supports, and dps

I’d say that 60% of my time is tanks, 25% time is on support, and 15% is on dps (with 10% of that being Mei)

I’m a control freak so I enjoy having more control over the flow of the fight while dps are more opportunist. My nature bleeds into my favored support classes too (Ana/Lucio) as they tend to be able to dictate engagements and effect enemies positioning the most.
