DPS players - You want Mercy fun and powerful

They should, since they get individual SR.

Even TF2, game that literally has “team” in it’s name, works this way: 1 best player + 1 healer + everyone else as extra targets. Can like or hate it, but it’s how it goes.

If one player could carry the team, that would encourage more individual play. Most supports can’t carry the game, they’re more… enablers; does that mean they should play for themselves and not for the team to climb?

More like they should enable only best teammate, for best results. Trying to enable others only reduces their impact on the game. Or worse - gives them false confidence, as they start to believe themselves to be that great, usually with eventual 1v6 and “where are my heals?!” in chat.

That goes against the idea of a team-game unfortunately. I believe overwatch should stay as it currently is. We don’t need individual play. that also goes against the idea of “roles.” as certain roles will be played more aggressively and for themselves. more cases of “dps support.”

if it gives them false confidence; it doesn’t matter. As long as they don’t become to aggressive or toxic with their supports.

They become aggressive in playstyle, and alive teammate with no confidence is more useful, than dead teammate with lots of it.

Yet that’s how it works: you buff best player, until one becomes capable of carrying whole dead weight of teammates to victory. If one healer isn’t enough to do that, second healer can join.

Especially if that best player is tank: pumping them with lots of hps of healing allows one to never retreat, so whole “run in random directions to flank” team won’t ruin anything.

This guy gets it both done with 1 change.

Depends on the situation. I tend to help both dps equally but focus more on the one doing more. The confident dps knows that my attention is on him and if he dies twice to being too aggressive without me helping him; he usually get’s the idea. One realizes their own mistakes as they do it quite too often.

For me it’s opposite experience: players don’t realize their mistakes, and will keep running head on into gunfire. Tanks usually tend to be more confident and cautious, so if my pocket picks different DPS, instead of Pharah, we actually get trio to work with.

However, I am playing at EU zone and not a native English speaker.

i dont.
i prefer ana and baptiste.

Okay. Don’t change Mercy, she is balanced. There you go.

DPS players won’t help with that, as they hate each other and would happily watch “less skilled” DPS die with that healing, as only “less skilled” DPS need damage boost to achieve things.

But not enough for a main healer. In the last 6 months EVERY TIME I play Mercy as a main healer I get told that I can’t do enough healing (often before the game has actually begun).

lmao, I main McCree who essentially needs a pocket mercy to do anything, but I still don’t want Mercy to ever be relevant again, cause res is such an obnoxious, unfun, demotivating ability I still get ptsd when I remember the moth meta.

If people tell others they need more healing, or somebody won’t do enough healing, that’s a problem for that player not of a hero.

Mercy does enough healing for a main healer, just not for somebody that is face tanking the enemy.

Let’s not buff heroes because people don’t know how to properly play…

Mercy is the best healer. Long Live Mercy. The most fun and co-operative and DPS enablers I’ve ever met were Mercy players. Plus Mercy also misses D.VA.

Is it unbearable for tank players, because two tanks are enabling this Meta. Orisa and Sigma.

I just want mercy to have more healing so that when i play tank i’m not forced to play extremely passive due to her low HPS.
