Doomfist's fall, looks familiar...Star Wars anyone?

Um…… i saw the opening on the game when Doomfist gets thrown into a window and falls to his death but…..is it me or does anyone get a Star Wars Revenge of the Sith vibes when Samuel L Jackson gets the same death?

Not only that, when Anakin stops him, he cuts his hand off too in the scene! Same as

the animation with Vendetta and Doomfist! lol. Except theres no window, but does get thrown off.

So they stole a scene from the movie xD. What gave it away was when he was throw out the window, and falls into what looks like a deep cavern and i was like, wait, ive seen this some where. I used to work at the theater and i sold tickets for the Star Wars EP 3 Revenge of the Sith, and cleaned the theaters. Good times.

I only wanted to mention this in case no one knew, i find it funny, and also curious. Did they run out of material where they had to take an idea from a movie?

You know what else also Star Wars ish, the Talon vs Overwatch. Jedi vs Dark Side/Bogan?

So Jedi is Overwatch, Dark Side is Talon.

Now if they collaborated with Disney, then i can say, sure. They did that with other

franchises but i didnt see any news about a collab. Im not mad about it but i scratch my head and say, do you have to take an idea without permission by Disney and use it, and make money off of it? Short answer, Yes, lol.

I wonder what Disney would say about it but since Disney is ran only by businessmen, they wouldnt see it since they dont play games.

What you guys think? Do you see it? I can see Sigma being Emperor Palpatine.

When I saw Talon’s black and red colors, I instantly thought about the Empire, the Rebel Alliance and The Galactic Empire. :red_circle: :black_circle: :man_astronaut: :milky_way:

Doomfist kinda feels like Darth Vader at the moment, maybe even Emre.

The whole Vendetta-Doomfist fight totally reminded me of the Darth Vader-Luke Skywalker fight in Empire Strikes Back, but remixed into the Overwatch Universe. Like characters and roles flipped, to make the story fit into the new OW narrative.

Im a big fan of Star Wars, so I dont mind if Overwatch copies off the movies. Overwatch has been known for copying off of other games like TF2 and Vigilante 8 so this nod to Star Wars doesnt surprize me. I rather like it :relieved_face:

Now the question is: how closely will the Devs copy from Star Wars? Will the Talon-Overwatch story extend into Return of the Jedi with Doomfist fixing his fist? Will the story extend even further into The Force Awakens with Rey and Kylo Ren? :thinking: Cant wait to find out! :popcorn:
