he’s one of the remaining tanks I don’t fall asleep playing

Because he’s the most fun tank and the one with the highest skill requirement.
Even when he was doo doo poo fart tier in S1, he was still more fun than the rest.

We’ve got a totally unbiased source here ;D

I’ve played all the tanks, there ain’t no bias here my broski

From my experience, he is absolutely the most commonly picked tank for QP, and the tank I see stomping all over matches unstoppably with huge ratios far more than any other. His strengths are very easy to capitalize on in regular games, with tiny windows of downtime, multiple very short cooldowns to avoid dieing (including a literal get-out-of-dieing-free ult, god what a crutch ult), self-heals that can easily let him survive everything the enemy manages to do to him, a noob-trap block that either resets his punch or forces enemies to just not touch him, just too many tricks in one bag to ever let him be pinned down by average players, who can take over a whole second just to reacquire him after he hops across a room, which he does every three seconds or so.

Back in the day, people always had the option of going Sombra and render him unplayable with three-second hack durations when it became clear the team’s skill level really wasn’t enough to otherwise shut him down, but now the part of hack that matters has been reduced to a joke and he is far too tanky to care about the pathetic lockout duration. Really can’t be understated how hard Fist was buffed by the gradual weakening of that particular ability.

Soooo true. Sick of Ball/DF in every game mirror match.

Huh, people complain about Hazard and Orisa while you sicked of Hamster and Doom

Absolutely no problems with Hazard/Orisa. I suspect the complainers are the loud minority. Hazard is like Doomfist, if Doomfist was properly balanced and had abilities that made visual sense.

Hazard actually dies if you CC him/focus him or he doesn’t position properly.

Doom is the most popular tank because he doesnt need to play with his team or properly position because his mobility is entirely uncalled for and get him out of spots he shouldn’t be able to be in. Playing Doom is like playing in Creative Mode. At a minimum, health packs need to be nerfed so he at least needs to regroup with his team before being a degen “tank” again, but as things now, he doesnt even need to know what his team is doing to play with a 1/2 decent winrate.

Orisa has the largest head hitbox in the game. She melts to things like ana/zen. Easy to take out and very predictable with ult timings. Shes no longer the anti-fun character she used to be with less tanks in the cast. She has to play with the team and synergize in order to thrive. She needs to do things like use the surroundings to block damage and position properly. She needs to know where the supports are at and make sure to allow for LOS. Predict oncoming ults to position for counter ult, etc.

But in TOP500 lists 99% players main Hazard as Tank. Why? I Think, that Hazard is just lazt and overbuffed copy of Doomfist. Even Doomfist not so annoying for me as Hazard. Cause doom does have realization risks, might be die due to own mistakes and something. But Hazard does have less risks

Edit: I forgot to say. Maybe in high ranks where people do mistakes too rare and calculate all risks earlier Doom is a real problem, also cause he has higher skill ceiling than Hazard. But Maybe Hazard are prefered on TOP500 cause he more reliable?

I agree with that take. He’s got an insanely high skill floor and an even more insanely high skill ceiling. He makes up for it by being a very fun, high tempo hero that feels so rewarding when you make him work.

I mean he recently got one of the dumbest nerfs ever.

Hazard is way stronger tha Doomfist currently- even after the mid season patch.

There’s a reason hazard is dominating the leaderboards right now, and not by a small margin. Literally everyone in the top pages all have hazard as their most picked tank. At my last count a bit ago hazard was reflected on over 300 of t500 player pool.

Hazard is undeniably stronger than Doomfist.

Hazard block needs to be 2sec like Doomfist.

Also, I’d like to point out, Doomfist angle for punch 55 degrees is too much and it makes no sense. Revert it back to 44 degrees, or even 45, but in any case don’t leave it to 55.

Getting punched without seeing the d00m at all is very very frustrating and should not happen.
