Doom shouldn’t be able to punch-stun multiple people at once. It’s ridiculous. It’s like a mini shatter on a short cooldown in some chokes.

Maybe if they undo the bug fixes that they did in S1 that ruined his movement, he won’t be as bad of a hero in lower ranks.
They really need to stop butchering the unique movement of heroes even if it comes from a bug. They did that with mercy, and now doomfist. It’s things like this that’s ruining this game. By watering down the complexity of the game and dumbing everything down.

No, he’s not. You use the term to try and drastically make a point, may I ask why? Is logical argumentation too exhausting?
Imagine abilities existed in this game… abilities that could counter that. Like a sleep dart… or boops… a hook? a hack? Some hero that go PRRRRRRRRRRR?
He has to be terrible in lower ranks, else he would completely slaughter the high ranks. Doomfist is fine where he is.
I DO agree to this. Gimme 6v6 back, old mercy, old sym, old torb, old doomfist. But by god balance from there, and don’t just randomly full or partly revert changes and ruin the game completely with one revert after the other, which ABK would probably pull off and sell as “gamechanging content” like “pew pew sniper mc auto heal turret” that nobody asked for. Once again: not total garbage per se, but complete garbage balancing wise. The only reason Illari is where she is is to drive sales. Those of us who played Heroes of the Storm know the “we sell OP hero to drive sales” tactic and it lead to the games quick demise.

Okay so this counter-rant is in the context of QP.
The way I see it, be thankful you have people queuing tank. Tank is the least fun role to play. So many people will pick and play the most fun heroes in that role to play. Aka Doom and Ball.
If you feel the urge to complain about their hero choice, stop queuing DPS and Support, and go play Tank yourself.
Play 15 games in a row, all tank. Do it. Do it next time you play OW Too. Count the 15 games out. Just. Do. It.
Don’t want to do it? Why not? Because you hate tank? Because it’s miserable? Because it’s boring? Then stop complaining about your tank teammates hero choice in QP. You play QP for fun, not to be miserable. So if you queue tank, you play the fun heroes. Not the miserable boring ones.
Play those 15 tank games in a row, then see how boring and/or miserable that role is. Then you can appreciate or at least understand why some people only play Doom or Ball. Debatably the most fun and interesting tank heroes.
If you don’t want to do any of that, play comp. People are more likely to swap to win the game in comp. So tanks are more likely to allow themselves put up with the misery in comp.
Don’t want to do any of that at all? Go Lucio and brawl with your Doom, Go sombra/genji/tracer, and dive in when your doom dives. Match and exceed your Dooms aggression. Go harder than him. Be more aggressive than him. Make your agro Doom back YOU up.
Don’t want to do that? Well okay, just keep whining and don’t change then. Forever whine and complain and do nothing about it.

Ah yes Ram is also debatably among the most interesting/fun tank. Because 1: He’s so OP, but also 2: he essentially has 2 kits. You can poke and you can brawl so 1 hero does many things.
Plus his voice is sexy.

Doom is being played so often because players HATE TANKING and Doom is NOT a tank at all. He is a dps hero in the tank role with one defensive ability.
Doom is not a tank.
Illari is not a healer.
Let that sink in.
EDIT: my very next match after writing this - both teams had Doomfist and Illari.
Doom is doing fine at most ranks except as you reach GM. Not sure why people keep repeating this as the stats say otherwise (yes, I know overbuff is not 100% accurate, but it is in the right ballpark and he’s middle to above middle in the tank role at most ranks).
Just saying over and over that he is bad does not make it so. If he was so bad he wouldn’t be in way too many games like he is now.
honestly doom might as well be a tank because his damage is literally one of the worst in the game LOL
the bug fix reverts are mainly just to help return the fluidity of his movement back to how it always was. doom mains have been wanting those bug fixes reverted because it quite literally ruined the hero as it removed almost if not all of his techs and or butchered some of the last remaining ones he had.
like if old GA had superjump and backwards GA removed, mercy mains wouldn’t be so happy
plus, he has a shorter seismic slam distance too, it feels REALLY bad and idk what the devs were thinking when implementing those “bug fixes” and nerfs.

You’d be amazed at how many supposed high elo players don’t know how to play with a ball on their team and just want a rein shield to hide behind.
I actively heal my ball teammates and I swear I don’t get more thank you voicelines than I do from ball players that notice me keeping an eye on them.
I literally have to BEG my teammates to take advantage of the chaos that a ball makes. I feel for ball mains.

Ana sleep the block. Lucio/Brig can displace him. Zen discord. My favorite is playing Bap and dodging everything. It puts a red flag on you, but it takes the pressure off the team a bit.
I don’t get why DPS like to avoid countering him on QP. Thanks for the heads up, as I’ve been busy with the missions. I’ll continue DPS QP games as a Sombra/Cass/Torb.
