Fair enough, they could simply pull value from Empowered Punch and into his kit in that case, i dont think there is a need to go through such lenghts with multiple layers of empowering and what not to accomplish that though.
The issue though, i think, where the problem lies, is where does the Tank ends and the DPS Doom start? If they take away power from his one defensive tank ability and put into even more damage or agression, is he really a tank any longer…? Or just one big DPS?
Though one could argue that fat DPSes are basically what Tanks have become on OW2, like JQ or Hog, but there ought to be a bit of emphasis on mitigation for the tanks in my opinion.
Maybe if they simply made his block have CC immunity (or basically an actual barrier/bubble effect to block projectiles that inflict CC, like Javelin, Sleep, Accretion, etc. but not melee/unblockable ones) or have even more shields from his abilities in trading for even less power on Empowered Punch, maybe you would have more opportunities to make other plays rather than farm for Empowerement.
