Torb has always, ALWAYS, been lowkey not garbage.
I agree widow needs more nerfs, the point I was trying to make is 25 health is the difference between alot of damage thresholds you may not think about. I’ve always liked the suggestion where shooting her breaks grappling hook so its still usable as a positioning and flank tool but not a free escape.
The biggest issue of Torb pre-rework is that he was Bastion lite and needed constant babying, and didnt have a clear role other that auto-aimed hitscan, as Tracer could dance all around him.
I think grapple hook needs to have a massive cast and travel time and not being auto-aimed.
Ehhh, I don’t think that will happen because Blizzard and streamers like the big grapple hook jump shot plays. I personally think it’s a fine suggestion
Torb never needed baby-sitting, and was hands down the best anti-flank hero in the game at the beginning.
A good torb kept enough scrap to self-heal one or two times if the other team had flankers, and positioned the turret to spot and punish flankers while not being exposed to the rest of their team.
People always underestimate the engineers.
He’s still a joke on attack, strong on D and control
Torb always had one of the highest win-rates in the game.

Torb absolutely smokes Tracer. Their effective range is about same, except Torb deals massive damage and is very tanky at the same time.
I mained Torb when I first started playing OW on PC. I never understood what was so difficult for people to STAND IN FRONT OF THE TURRET ON THE 3RD OR 4TH HAMMER WHACK!! I would almost always have my lvl2 Turret on
Maybe, but i am waiting for 3 years to see at least one Torb that isn’t just a free kill. Those people must be hiding well.
I like torb.
For me to poop on.
I once heard a joke back when Torb hasn’t had his little rework:
Torb’s LMB = McCree
Torb’s RMB = Reaper
I think people are starting to realise Torb is a sleeper carry. Oh no… I can already hear the Nerf brigade approaching
Nerf Torbs meatballs
The time to pick Torbjorn for attack is when the enemy team is trying to run a very dive oriented defense or better yet partial dive. A turret in the backline has nothing to shoot at ever except the thing trying to be sneaky and pick off people from behind when the defense frontline is too immobile to peak turret. You pretty much stuff Sombra from ever hacking (except EMP) and know when a Hammond is coming or Dva/Winston have to get REALLY close and spend a ton of time trying to kill it. Genji’s evasion can’t juke autoaim like many other people and he takes too long to kill it. Tracer has to get really close to do damage.
Finally, Torbjorn himself is just bulky with the 250 health, armor and 100 armor getting stacked. All of the dive characters like tracer, dva, hammond, winston, sombra all get their damage drastically reduced by armor. While turret is meant to babysit the back Torb himself gets to shoot at shields or tanks or bully long range units since he has no fall off damage and a bit of bulk. Sometimes you can get an angle due to its arc where you can’t get hit due to elevation changes.
Finally, you have molten core to cut off enemy retreat or advance depending upon how they are moving.
