Does anyone here play without drinking soda/caffiene

Just have a glass of water in front of you.
When something is convenient, you are more likely to use it.

That’s the issue, I keep food and any liquid out of my computer area (I invest a lot of money on my setup, doesn’t mean I’m rich - I just pay extra attention to whatever computer device I buy).

I usually have a bottle of water at my feet but I forget it exists most of the time

True, I should be less of a freak when it comes to the fear of ruining my keyboard or mouse, though I’m clumsy so I guess I know myself and simply take caution haha…

Thanks for the advice though, I’m such a mess. I need to work on myself, I’m the only one in the way of me improving in that aspect (soon getting surgery to remove some of my kidney stones).

If you are worrying about spilling it you can keep a small bottle on the desk instead.

Yup and water usually doesn’t really mess up mechanical keyboards (I think), I once spilled red bull on my keyboard (years ago when I was still drinking that sh*t) and my brother who’s a computer person managed to save it xD…

I can be really clumsy, no joke.

About a year ago I cut soda and caffeine. I was already drinking sugar-free soda, but made the jump so I don’t drink anything with sugar, caffeine, or carbonation.

Caffeine’s addictive, and the withdrawals suck. Like at one point in my life (before I stopped drinking it) I realized I’d had 2 energy drinks a day for about a week, then stopped for a week. I realized it when my migraine had been around for 3 days with no signs of going away, so I just had another energy drink and worked down from there.

My best advice is find something you like as an alternative, and start replacing some of your daily drinks with it. Eventually you need to stop the caffeine completely and deal with the week or two of headaches and tiredness, but it’s not debilitating if you ween yourself off of it. And on the plus side if you go a while without it, any amount of caffeine you have does wonders. A few months after I’d had no caffeine, I got a coke at a restaurant just because. I was energetic the whole day.

I personally swapped to sugarless sports drinks, but that’s because I hate bottled water and the tap water where I live is pretty nasty.

I have only ever drank water my entire life really.

Dude, mind your teeth. Soda can really damage them!

I’d try and look for alternatives first to stem your cravings, but honestly you need to replace the fizzy drinks with still, less sugary choices.

Gotta keep that smile!

I have drank coffee since forever. (very young). At least one cup a day.

Outside of that I try to limit myself to one sugary drink a day. Due to losing weight. After that its just water.

Water has 0 calories and is necessary for body metabolism so its way better to drink then soda with some gas and excessive amount of sugars.

Like yeah I haven’t like had soda or coffee in a long time.

And it’s much better that way.

It kind of reminds me of people that quit drinking alcohol and say, “I feel so much better now!” It’s not quite on that level, but whenever someone says, “I need coffee in the morning or I can’t function!” I just think to myself, that’s weird, because I function just fine without it.

Yeah, that part sucks about quitting. But once you do, it’s so much better.

Yes. I rarely touch soda anymore. Try flavored waters or sparkling waters (if you can stomach them), if you want to try and wean off it.

I had… internal problems.
I quit cold turkey. Let that be a personal tip, hah.

I occasionaly drink a cup of coffee like twice a week or something but other than that I dont really drink much, Just water

you are gonna need to change your name then

I occasionally drink tea that I only recently found out was decaffeinated. Aside from that, I just drink water, excluding the odd weekend lash.

I drink water only.

The only time I have soda or caffeine is when I go to the movies.

Movie bottle water is as pricey as an overwatch skin.

Once I stopped drinking sodas and sugary drinks I dropped weight while my energy levels went up. Also just saves you money as water is cheaper

Probably the only time I’ve ever liked your post lol

I may have a soda once or twice a year, if that. I don’t even look at coffee. Sure it smells good, but water works just fine. Cashew milk and Kombucha are good from time to time as well.

I drink water but if I’m feeling a healthy ‘flavour’ option I get coconut water.

I drink pure morphine

Either beer or

phenylalamine + l tyrosine sometimes plus alpha gpc i don’t use it specifically for overwatch but mostly for work or focus tasks it helps when gaming.
Also take magnesium glycinate and d3 with theanine for sleep.
Sunflower lecithin for energy.
Also meditation.

Warning don’t supplement yourself, get bloodwork done talk to your doc before taking supplements.

For ex don’t take vitamin d3 without blood work showing its low etc.

I used to be a soda addict, could drink those 2 ltr bottles of soda etc within a few hours lol

Back in January I turned my life around a little and cut out soda (well 95%) and replaced it with a 1LTR ion bottle which I fill with water, I still have a can of Coke a few times a week (I should add that I have 1 of those 150ml mini cans now) but I’m not drinking as much, I also cut out excessive fast food. Lost 33 lbs so far.

Dropping Cola was probably one of the hardest things I’ve ever done because I was addicted to it, it was like some sort of weird “cure” for my ADHD/Asperger’s and calmed me down a lot and helped me focus more.

By the way, it’s not easy, so don’t force yourself to cut back all of it immediately, gradually do it over a few weeks

Also if you’re drinking stuff like Coca cola prepare for the headache once you’ve cut it down by a lot, don’t give in. The headache will last like 1-2 days.
