I remember once upon a time when Battlepasses were rightfully shunned. Fortnite really started this festering imo. I wish we could just pay for the game like we did with OW1.

I’ve been playing OW for well over half a decade, and have been posting on these forums between two accounts. Believe it or not, some of us old folk were around in the before-times. What has it been? 7 years now since OW1?

as of yet i haven’t spent any money on ow2, skins or pve. however, what games are there atm? i rotate between like 3 or 4 games, to spend a few quid on cosmetic for one of the few games u play, is pretty cheap and only hurts that persons bank account
I bought overwatch 1 for 18.99 when it was on sale in 2016. even if i spend £30 tomorrow, for a game ive put hundreds of hours in I’m not really losing out compared to the AAA games nowadays.
I look down on them just as I would look down on someone who buys a tuna mayo sandwich in their Tesco meal deal.
But I would never say anything because your body, your choice.

Yeah, that´s why you bring up game sales on steam - that is waste of money for me for example.
500 hours in Baldur´s gate 3 and it will take another 500 hours most likely to exhaust all the content or get bored by that game.
Same goes for Owerwatch - if you love one game, than buying a skin is a treat that makes you happy.
This forum is their soap box for their sad takes about life. I have been too hard on them and said stuff i shouldnt but the ow forum is not the place for sad negativity for years and years and years.
Its a video game forum. Move on from a game that makes you feel this way.
