Do derankers get banned?

Everyday I’m reporting several deranking groups but I don’t receive nearly as many notices of people getting banned.

No. Neither do trolls.
Only off meta mains get banned,

Then when people complain about bronze they say they belong there. Seriously, witn so many people deranking and using the actual bronzes for a cheap ego boost I honestly don’t use that argument anymore.

Level 1504 (was in bronze, now silver)

a few days ago as 1470sr, was paired with a 5 stack team that were deliberately throwing the game, however the enemy team had a 4 stack team, both teams had an asian symboled player, when the match started, the enemy team ran out, not even gun blazing, just walked right up to the players saying hello & even were standing on my allies as if they knew each other, so two teams 9 people total possibly queuing up together at the same time ruining the game for the 3 of us that were solo queue, so yeah it’s unfair, and being someone who has played in all seasons that this is allowed to continue regardless of how many times you report someone there is no way to clean up this game the worst part about this issue that 6 of the throwers were level 601+ (silver and gold border levels) which makes it even worse…that they’ve played this long enough and if they have been throwing games for a long time or not, have they truly gotten away with it, think about it, if they’re grouping together in say a 5-stack team who’s going to report them, just 1 person, so it’s exploiting how much of the game they are ruining, but this is just 1 game, I see throwers/smurfs all the time even though I know I can’t do anything and just try to have fun, there’s only so much I can take before I should just hang up the game and call it quits…

And the throwers and griefers have gotten worse since Blizzard put OW on the Humble Bundle for $12 a month and a half ago. A metric ton of disposable accounts appeared and they are making it a mess. I started playing last year and my first season I was 1765ish Silver. Next season the throwers started showing up and started Silver and became Bronze. Stayed bronze since and ranking gets worse even though I’m playing better and more characters. Now we are seeing whole teams who do nothing but spawn camp on capture the point maps and don’t try to take the point and half of them using aim assist bots.

We need some way to call a Blizzard op to come in and check it out for the worst cases. To avoid abuse, have you get a temp ban from comp for abusing it if it isn’t just blatantly obvious.

Yes, you can do a report as it is now, but it takes at least 24 hours for something to get done and being spawn camped for 45 FREAKING MINUTES is uncalled for. Yes, this happened to me tonight if you can’t guess. The worst part was if by some chance a Sombra got past their aim botting and wall hacking 76, Doomfist, and Widowmaker, their Torb was JUST OUTSIDE the capture area with a turret waiting, carefully not touching the capture point himself (saw that in deathcam way too much).

Help us, Obi-Wan Jeff, before this behavior turns Overwatch into TF2!

Throwers and smurfs will hardly affect your ability to climb from bronze/silver elo.

What color is the sky in that world you live in? If your team loses due to throwers on your team, your ranking goes down. If you get curb stomped by a Diamond rank playing on his Bronze smurf account, your ranking goes down. That’s the whole reason the griefers do it, they get their rocks off making others suffer regardless if they are on their team or not. Look up G.I.F.T. online for enlightenment.

You will climb from bronze and silver by your stats easy. Just perform good and you will climb. Or keep blaming outside factors and you never will. Simple. You as one player who wants to win have already advantage because enemy team can have 6 people who can throw or who dont want to win. Your team only 5.

No, you won’t. I went from Silver my first comp season last year and the season after that fell to Bronze because of the throwers and haven’t been able to climb back up, no matter that the fact that I play more characters better now and get silver and gold medals playing them.

what? so you’re saying I can climb with throwers on my team? they purposefully losing the game for me I should be able to overcome the majority of a possible 4v6 game? really? logic much?

Great, but have to have a group of 6 players that WANT to climb and aren’t facing a team of smurfs or griefers. That’s getting damn near impossible to find lately unless you have a dedicated crew of 6 players that only play comp together as a team. Otherwise you are taking the luck of the draw and just look at all the postings here about how bad that’s working. The game has gotten very toxic in just the one year I’ve been playing. I left TF2 because of that, and now it’s showing up in OW. It didn’t help that Blizzard sold OW for a month as part of the Humble Bundle for only $12 a month and a half ago. A disposable account for less than a third of the regular price? These jerks could get three at that price and if they lose one eventually, so what? They have more and their main account is nice and safe. And when did I start to see the griefers and throwers really become a regular thing? A month and a half ago. Funny, that.

I always solo queued and smurfs existed through out the beginning of the game tbh every game has throwers not just ow there’s deranking servers with 400+ deranker each varying from top 500 to gold derankers playing in all elos. (There’s also derankers in my diamond games)

If ya really want to find players and stack which I guess would be a good way to avoid derankers there’s a discord group for bronze to gold players and I’m pretty sure they have a coach that helps them out might wanna try that if you want?

Yes you…, doesnt mean others cant do it. You are simply not good enough to climb yet. Find a coach and try to get better.

Just check this guy, he was silver too now he is plat.

Why He isnt stuck in silver too? And dont give me bs like its new account, if you play as him you will climb too. He recorded all his games how better proof do you need?

Yes, you should be able to climb regardless. In Bronze/Silver you should be able to climb just due to PBSR. I had a season I fell hard after placements. Once I finally had a 50% win percentage, I was 350 SR higher then when I started and that was based purely off of performance based SR
