D.mon soon? Let's make she more interesting!

There’s been a lot of news circulating lately about D.Mon’s arrival in Season 4, during BlizzCon.

I can honestly say: I’m worried she might be boring. Not from a gameplay standpoint, because she has an interesting shield/sword mechanic from what we’ve seen in the art concepts… but because it’s essentially “let’s relaunch D.Va without her being D.Va.”

So… I’d like to fantasize a bit about how to make her interesting. really :raising_hands:, I’d like to play around with my imagination on possible ways that would make her infinitely more interesting to me than simply “D.VA’s friend, and video gamer”:

1) D.Va becomes like Widowmaker

She’s kidnapped by Talon during a mission, brainwashed, and will use her Mech for Talon. This would create a lore in which Hana no longer recognizes her friend Yuna, as if her memories had been completely erased, and would push D.Va even more to fight alongside Overwatch in the hopes of bringing her friend back. Perhaps by focusing on the Amelie Lacroix case.

2) D.Va’s Mech was stolen by the Gwishin

Honestly, the most interest would be in the Mech’s abilities, so why not create a lore in which we add a new unlikely hero? A small Gwishin manages to sneak into the MEKA base and steal the mech, learning the controls with its tentacles. Instead of the pilot, we see a Gwishin eye that’s tangled up inside the vehicle, ready to wreak havoc.

3) D.Mon decides to become a Crusader

We’ve always seen Brigitte as a blend of Torbjorn’s engineering and Reinhardt’s Initiative Crusade. But in reality, D.Mon’s mech seems extremely well-suited to the Crusader armor, which has long been inactive. We could see a lore where Yuna asks Reinhardt and Brigitte to become the first Crusader of her generation, making full use of MEKA technology in the hope that the same German technology that saved Stuttgart can protect Busan.

Sorry, I was playing with imagination, but… what do you think about the lore?
