Disputing a Ban

Who exactly would I contact to dispute a account closure/perm ban (or if anyone can contact me about it)?
I would like to resolve this or find the reason to the ban. ~Thanks

Edit: I needed the feedback thank you

at the top right corner of the forums you will see “support” click there

And then everyone stood up and clapped.

You open a ticket.
Then they give you a copy paste response.
Then you complain on forum.
Then we eagerly await for Jeff to prepare a roast.

Already did, but for my level of ban, as stated in the email, “Our support staff will not overturn these closures and may not respond to appeals.” which means I would have to go higher up the ladder

There isn’t any higher.
Support staff are the ones who deal with appeals. If they reject you, you are out of luck.

I guess you have a point, just gotta see what I can do then! Your right

If this was the reason why then you won’t get an answer. They clearly state they WILL NOT TELL YOU what triggered their systems to flag you for cheating.

If you ever seen the story about Luke Lafreniere getting his WoW account banned then you would understand. Luke is pretty well known in the tech world from the LTT videos. Long story short, he was playing WoW with some relatives when suddenly he was banned for “cheating” for 6 months. He contacted Blizzard several times to find out why with no answer. He even openly said it’s ok if they won’t unban him it’s just that he wasn’t cheating and wanted to know what triggered the system so it wouldn’t happen again in the future. He said he uses his computer for work and play and it could have been something he has installed for work.

I think he ended up knowing a friend who knew people inside Blizzard and got though that way. I can’t recall if he ever found out why he was banned though or if it was lifted early.

In short, they won’t tell you why and I’m 99.9% sure you’re account is gone. It’s just how they do business.

I use a program called ACT as a DPS parser for FF14. It runs at administrator level and reads directly from memory. I make sure it’s not running when I play any Blizzard games just to be safe. Hell it doesn’t even look for any Blizzard games in memory but better to be safe than sorry.

I think the emails are NOT working so you will have to go to a phone line,

  • 9499551380 is the Irvine Offices.
  • 3102552000 is the Santa Monica offices (subsidiary Activision)
  • 2144596452 is the Texas offices (subsidiary Activision)

If those 3 don’t help. You can look at the California Attorney General’s office and dispute a business issue. 9162106276 or file it on their website.

Note:

There are 3rd party pieces of software you need to be aware of. If any of that was running in the background. Nothing will be overturned. Best of luck!

Imagine getting an attorney because you got banned for being naughty in a video game.

AG’s office is not about HIRING an attorney. They handle things when a person is NOT being properly addressed by the business and an exchange of money took place. Same with U.S. Federal Trade Commission.

LOL not the BBB - Anyone that complains to a BBB… lolz.

Yes, I would know from experience. We do major business deals in California when it comes to Agriculture, Almonds and Cherries out that way. If someone doesn’t do their part to carry through on a deal and people are NOT being honest. Complaints get filed and people step in, on behalf of the State.

The big picture is more or less addressed. Not individuals on a case by case basis. This is because they investigate FRAUD at the State level.

good luck disputing anything… i’ve gotten suspended for responding to toxic players in OW

every time i reopened a ticket, the “support staff” didn’t look at the full chat logs

after a few responses they said something dumb like “it doesn’t matter what they said, just don’t respond”

useless people

they probably include that line about not overturning bans because they are lazy and don’t want to look into the actual issues

The only thing they’ll tell you is that Blizzard’s reserved right to fire you as a customer at any time is made very, very clear in the EULA you agreed to and then somehow violated. You can file with them, but they won’t help you.

Any person has the right to file the complaint and how the State Handles it, is on them. The best course of legal action is to FILE a report and allow them to handle it. it is not our place to decide.

If it’s good pasta, they can copy some for me.

I have that new Valorant thing call Vanguard (Riot’s Anti Cheat) From what I heard it does that so that could be why but there is really no way to tell for sure

Hey there!

If you believe you’ve been falsely banned please do check this article: Appealing a Silence, Suspension, or Ban - Blizzard Support

Don’t need to answer, but what OS are you using. If Windows, are you using a cracked version?

Or send another irritable ticket and get an equally irritable game master unwilling to admit they made a mistake.

Flashbacks to the time I lost 3 days on the forums for quoting something someone said to me…

its normal windows 10!

Ah allright i see, i thought it could’ve been related by illegal software interfering.

You’re not running it via third party software right? (E.c cloud gaming)
Or running third-party software for OW (e.c overlays that give you info or something)
