Recently (NZDT 8:50pm 27/02/2023) I played a Competitive game on Lijiang Tower. In the first round, one player from each team was randomly disconnected at the same time (our tank, their DPS). The simultaneous nature of the disconnections suggest that this was a server issue.
I want to query whether these instances impact players’ MMR. It seems disappointing for players to lose rank points due to random server errors.
Also, (unless I simply haven’t found it) there doesn’t seem to be a way to report these instances within the Overwatch 2 client. Assuming this is the case and that players’ MMR do drop due to Defeat!s influenced by disconnects, this together creates a very questionable player experience for Overwatch 2.
