just like the title said, im a gm player and has been playing overwatch for years never have had this problem, and today, just for today I lost 250sr on two gm accounts because the game force crashed or disconnected from the game( my internet is completely fine). it happens just after the game started(when you choosing heros) . this effect a lot of my opendivision applications since it was a lot of sr lost and the teams won’t accept players who have lower sr, plz explain what is happening blizzard. its not like after I disconnected I have to restart my router, its just dc me and I can just click reconnect but its too late since the game just started you will lose 50sr, get ban, and the match get cancel after 10 seconds. I want my sr back
Unfortunately all disconnections and game crashes counts as leaving the match and will be penalized appropriately. The game server has no way to discern a legitimate disconnection or game crash from one that is forcefully caused by a dishonest player to bypass leaver penalties. Are you a COX Internet Customer? There was existing issues that have been ongoing until just about an hour ago. Otherwise the only thing anyone can do is help you try to figure out what is causing the disconnections, but you are going to have to be very specific if this game crashes or disconnections and provide specific details to the error.
I use at&t, and I heard the reason people been disconnecting is because you guys are preparing for the incoming events? that is why the server is not as stable. I see some comments of one of the forum that says the disconnection is happening because they checking people’s profile and thats the cause, this also happened to me as well but its only 1 or 2 out of 5 for the information. Also your message basically say “we won’t do anything about your problem because thats how it is”
Neither of these reasons came from official sources, so I personally wouldn’t believe them. Recently Cox ISP users were having difficulties, but not AT&T. As such, if you’re on PC, please provide results of a WinMTR test. If you’re on console, please use Looking Glass instead. Surround any links you can’t post with ` marks before and after them so they appear as code lines.
As for your SR, they never adjust scores for any reason. They explain why in the link WyomingMyst shared. But if you want to make sure you are playing on a solid connection and won’t lose SR because of disconnects, I strongly advise letting the forum members/staff look over your network tests before you continue queuing for games.

this is what I get after I disconnected from a game
You’re showing 10% packet loss on a piece of home equipment and also the hops after it. Because of this, restart your equipment and run another test. If you still see the 10% in the first column, you will need to contact your ISP to check the quality/stability of your lines for internet.
I have been playing the new events with my friends who live around the us, we disconnect when the movie part comes in the same time, do you know what might happen? this is different one from mine though, mine is competitive game
