I was completely unaware Moira had any Life steal.
And I used to play her alot, (dropped her recently.)
It’s hard to tell in OW2 when her passive heal can also activate if someone’s unaware of you and you’re attacking them It isn’t a lot, but that’s the trade-off since she can passively and actively heal herself with her orb.
Was it a thing in OW1?
Not the passive heal, but she did have some lifesteal on both. Her attack beam life-steal actually got nerfed a few years back.
Nah, it’s fine. It’s not even his “main” mechanic, it’s just something he happens to do.

Then again, they don’t have a great way teach or learn who has these mechanics.
Practice Range has stayed the same since OW1 release.
It’s in a few PvE shooters like Remnant, Outriders and I think Borderlands IIRC. I don’t recall seeing it in a PvP shooter personally, though I certainly haven’t played them all.
I think a support that gives allies temporary lifesteal would be pretty sick.
Cyberpunk has some life steal stuff. (I don’t exactly have a list in front of me.)
OW PvE will most definitely have lifesteal.
Destiny 2 has Voidwalkers.

It works for those games because I can guarantee you healing isn’t as powerful/broken as it is in OW, OW has a very strong healing focus like it’s a very much core to the balance while lets say for mobas right?
For Moba’s you have itemization which can lead to proper counterplay as opposed to character counters and atm we only have two anti-heal heroes and one of them isn’t even doing that good so probably why life steal is so weak plus who’s to say reapers healing is truly “life steal”.
Hearing alot of Vampire stuff from WoW and Heartstone lately.
First off, other games with life steal are either MMOs like Neverwinter, or purely PVE like Warframe and Diablo 3. These games either have solid life per hit in addition to life per second and/ or life % based on damage. You’re comparing life steal in a PVP game with no solid balance due to variety and character playstyles to every other game with that mechanic. Seriously, 216 dps with 35% life steal compared to OD D3 on console where I had a Skorn with 6% and my overall dps was +500k before any buffs. If it couldn’t OHK me, it wasn’t killing me.
Second, he does I think 216 dps, has a life steal of I think 35%. As I am unsure, let’s just go down and say it’s actually 25%.
216x0.25= 54.
Now, if it is 25%, that means he gets back over 25% of his health per second. If it’s actually 35%, he can get back 75.6 per shot. Neither is taking into account head shot damage. He’s FAR from weak.
Maybe there will be a life steal tank some day. But right now, it’s only on a support and a DPS. Neither of them are supposed to have high survivability like a tank.

Sweet. I have a concept too for Brit as a support who puts a drone on allies like Harmony, and it imbues their weapon with lifesteal. I was gonna give her two different configurations that offer access to different ability sets, but then Ram used that so it’s not as exciting now.
I’ll still make her in workshop whenever it releases. You ever mess with workshop?
Heh, well if they ever wanted Sombra to be a Support, maybe Hack would give LifeSteal.
