The progression system is currently 100% based on playtime, and this data is in everyone’s profile, so it is not lost

While I don’t think anything will ever really counter the pain of never getting a PvE focused lore mode, it’s nice to see the team being able to inject story into the game still at this point. We’ve grown to love this world and these characters over the last decade, it’d be a shame to continue with so little story for it all.

The emphasis on stability is interesting given such a large and sudden increase in hero output. Beyond balance, additional heroes meaningfully increase cognitive and social load in matches. I’m curious how the team is thinking about where that load lands as the game scales.

Yes it all seems shiny and new and people are excited.. it will last a couple weeks until people start complaining about

New Maps
New characters
Things being taken away
New things not living up to the hype
Characters not getting reworks they think they should
The Mercy skins (even though thats going on now)
All the skins for Kiri and Juno
No skins for their mains

Nope, some of mine is lost. A few thousand hours disappeared when the game converted to OW2. It’s just gone per Blizzard engineers. Something went wrong with my account during the conversion. Most of my cosmetics made it through, but a few had to be added back.
so we aren’t addressing the blatant favoritism of mercy, kiri, juno, genji, hanzo?? are we serious right now?
not to mention anrans in game model looks NOTHING like the cinematic. you just slapped junos face on it and made a couple tweaks. it’s ridiculous at this point.
and the lucio rage bait you are doing isn’t cute. it’s not funny. it’s borderline racism at this point.

It’s specifically called out on the roadmap, so yeah.
Pivoting away from PvE was a massive mistake. It was the only reason I started playing OW in the first place, when it was announced in 2019.
Stadium was an amazing addition, but you ruined it with aimbot powers. So many of the heroes already in that mode take no skill, and you just keep making it easier and easier for them. You’ve basically turned the stadium into a terrible version of PvE vs PvE, unless you’re one of the very few players who prefer using actual skill. Then you’ve just a bunch of aimbot teammates and enemies, so it takes 10 times the skill to win against all the aimbots.
Honestly surprised it took you all so long to realize how irrelevant the 2 was. I’m sure you all had to as well, so I’m curious why hold onto it for so long. Were you just afraid to admit the mistake?

By lowering the skill ceiling and skill floor to attract as many whales as possible by not requiring any skill to play the game?
All you care about is money. Every change you’ve made was done in the hopes of attracting more players because people keep leaving. Not a single change was made to try and make the game “better”.

A little while back, I’d kinda understand this. These days, the team have shown they are much quicker to react to anything crazy overtuned. The balance isn’t perfect and with a game like this, I’m not sure it ever will be, but patches and balance updates much quicker these days.
That said… errr…. whenever you’re ready, feel free to nerf Freja in stadium please devs!

I freaking love you team 4. I saw the vision all the way from the DnD themed battle pass in season 5 or 6, I see you guys trying new ways to bring content and I am so extremely hyped for what’s to come.
