My greatest concern with the Tier Hack system is making the hacked skin permanently unobtainable. Say I do as the example in the blog states and swap Cassidy for Reinhardt. What if, down the line, I later decided to play more Cassidy and now want that skin? Unlike the Cardboard Reinhardt skin, which I could have otherwise obtained from Loot Boxes or Maxâs vault, thereâs no way for me to go back on this decision. Will the hacked-away skin âswapâ places in my pool of cosmetics to obtain? Could I perhaps later hack the skin back into a future premium battle pass? Perhaps have another chance to purchase it when the corresponding battle pass becomes Unvaulted?
This discourages me from using the Tier Hack system even if I wanted to - Iâd rather wait to one day obtain any of the swappable skins from other means then miss out on another cosmetic permanently.

Good point - even with unarchived passes if this pass is âcompleteâ with hacks then how are the skins obtained?

For all the problems addressed, the issue of how unrewarding play is after finishing the BP is utterly untouched (nor is the fact that the titles do take far too long to earn). I donât consider these things to be small issues, especially considering the age of the game.

I see yâall have been collabing this idea with Fortnite during that Overwatch collab project you had.
Honestly, I like their system! It makes more sense to choose what âbundleâ within the BP you want to unlock at a time. Nice work

Revamps to the battle pass are very much appreciated, but to be honest, the biggest issue with the pass is how 2/3 of it is just useless filler items that nobody cares about. Souvenirs, for example, are so useless and nobody uses them. Why keep wasting artist/dev effort making them when nobody is interested.
The best revamp you could do with the battle pass is putting better content into it.

âUnrewarding playâ? The gameplay is the reward. If your idea of fun is just to grind the battle pass until there is nothing more to grind, and then complaining there is nothing more to grind, then I am very sorry for you.

Please give us 1000 coins in the battle pass!
Having only 600 makes no sense for the price of the pass (especially to us F2P players who have to grind 4+ free battle passes just to get one premium one.)
Increasing it up to 1000 will increase player enjoyment (rewarding time put in to grind the pass to get all 1K) and ensure more repeat battle pass purchases.

They arenât going to do that.
That would give the game a completely free track, with no reason to ever buy anything. 600 is probably as generous as its going to get. Once you finished the first season, you essentially could play the game with the premium pass for as long as they allowed that option without ever having to spend any money.

Not only that, it says that it can be shop skins. So smth that looks nice but might not be wotrh 1,9k coins may be in there, for far less!
Fortnight also has a different cosmetic model as well with a lot more collabs too. I have 3 accounts with this game (ow), and only one even gets money spent on it. The other two get whatever they get when I even play them. (one is just for competitive)
