It’s cool to have the info. It’s still staggering that they didn’t nerf Soldier.

They also way over-nerfed Lucio. I’m willing to bet the pick rate plummets and his win rate drops to one of the lowest.

After playing him post-nerfs, he feels like he just can’t do much. The weapon power build feels absolutely terrible. It makes Lucio into a poke hero instead of a dive/brawl hero.

Juno nukes could be nerfed again and I wouldn’t lose any sleep tbh. Auto-lock on, homing missles that do 175~ damage are kind of wild.

Considering even after the nerfs they literally say those powers are literally mustpick perks in nearly every juno build I dont understand how they think thats ok to not change her more

She has the same problem as Lucio where her other builds just aren’t fun or particularly powerful into the rest of the cast.

Biggest issue with stadium by far is every hero has multiple mustpick powers and items and a bunch of powers and items no one will ever use cus they are too niche. That leads to the same builds in every game and means the mode becomes very stale very quickly

Is anyone actually still enjoying stadium? For me the mode is already solved and everyone just picks the exact same builds every game.

The devs really failed to create a compelling and deep itemisation system and it has massively impacted the longevity of the mode. If they had managed to create a deep and meaningful item system people would still be experimenting and trying out new things cus people would be discovering new interactions.

The fact everyone has already found what is the best build on every hero highlights the major failure this mode has launched as. The mode should not be solved within 2 weeks lol. That implies you have created a very shallow mode which doesnt reward theorycrafting

The balance I have issue with right now. It’s hard to have MVP moments when the cards feel constantly stacked against you. There’s no enjoyment in playing the mode if at best a team has to fight for their life to win one round.

Thats literally the same as every hero lol. The way they designed the mode was just heavily flawed logic and has caused that

It’s very clear to me at least that they came up with 1-2 really cool builds per hero, creating specific powers and items to work in those builds … and then threw a load of garbage to fill in the gaps. What this results in, you either play those very clearly defined builds or lose

The correct way to design a mode like this is come up with 12 cool powers and multiple cools items per hero in a vacuum. Then let players work out what works well together and create builds

Instead they made 1-2 builds with clearly defined powers and items that were made to work well together immediately and then realised they had to come up with a bunch of other items and powers so just designed garbage filler to make up the shop

There is no way they didnt come up with all those juno powers and items and then work backwards to come up with all the other options that dont work well cus they were never designed to be a build. Unlike the torpedo powers which they very clearly designed to all go together.

Its artificial development.

Genji doesnt even have 12 powers lol. I dont understand how you struggle to design 12 cool powers per heroes. Its crazy incompetence imo. It isnt hard to come up with 12 cool hero powers and a handful of items per category. Yet they couldnt manage it.

I really like the mode, but it’s definitely in its infancy. I think they’ll keep fine-tuning and adjusting. I think a lot of the issue comes from how other heroes interact with those builds. The builds might seem good/fun in a vacuum, but when actually put into matches, it’s mid or outright unplayable.

Plus there are some items in the shop that just straight up don’t work for characters. Lucio has a perk that gives him bonuses for weapon healing, but only weapon healing. He can’t heal with his weapon ever. He literally cannot benefit from its effect. Why is the item even there?

Which is what im saying when i say they didnt create a good itemisation system. Its clear to me they didnt put much thought into it

Isnt ability power literally useless on mercy? Most heroes cannot heal yet there are multiple ‘when you heal a teammate…’ items for every character

Its what im saying. They put 0 effort into making a compelling item shop. That is mainly where the issues are

Hero counters are still a major thing cus they didnt think to make things for you to build around your counters. How many times have they had to buff dva now cus she cant play into zarya like at all…

Yeah, this part was something they handled very poorly.

Sometimes you lose games at the hero select screen.

Reinhardt was the most-played tank by a decent margin

he’s popular to begin with and also completely OP (at least as of a few days ago, they nerfed the egregious speed upgrade so probably a bit more manageable now). Glad the winrates are there to prove all of the “uhhh actually rein is kinda mediocre in this mode” copers wrong

Juno’s Pulsar Plus has a whopping 78.1% pick rate

I kinda want to try a weapon-only juno build to see how that fairs

Soldier’s Super Visor has a 75.4% pick rate

Funny I played like 10-15 games as soldier now and haven’t picked this once

This seems to be largely coming from first-time players, with leaver rates dropping the more matches one has under their belt

Have a feeling hardware and connection issues are the main contributor here

That’s the right attitude to have. I don’t care if my teammates run some moronic build or whatever I just really don’t want to deal with any leavers or hard throwers in this mode

bla bla bla, hey aaron, you remember what fun even is? numbers mean nothing when game with you in charge sucks, do a proper fun balanced 6vs6 mode

Some Stadium QoL changes (imo):
LESS time to select hero. My whole team will have picked their heroes while we just stare at the scrren for the next 20-30 secs;

Slightly faster respawns. This one is odd, cause if you die after someone did, your respawn time will be like 5-6 secs, but if not it’s like 11.

MAYBE, an option to upgrade talents. I often find a selection of talents that is working but then have cash for ones that are “better” but that completely change what I had. Maybe just my lack of time with the mode but yeah.

Glad to see some numbers. I knew Ashe was bad but 43% WR is rough.

I don’t know buddy, I’d say 50% of the population playing Stadium is a pretty important number.
