This was posted long ago now but thinking he will replace D.Va is comical. Players that dedicate time and effort to learning him will probably do okay with him but for the majority, he’s just meh.

Hammond is the new “joke” hero to pair with Winston.

Hopefully he’s the last joke hero. He’s so disturbingly and hideously out-of-place in this game, especially when you see his in-game icon when hitting “Tab” to see your team’s line-up. It’s embarrassing and so silly it crosses into ‘stupid’ territory.

Its funyy how D.VA Mains thinks that Hammond replace her just because he is another Mech Hero

Wrecking Ball has a much different playstyle as D.Va he is also harder to play his Playstyle feels more like winston not D.Va
D.Va also makes way more Damage than him and he cant protect his teammates like D.VA

ANd i loe his Victory Pose its amazing to disrespect D.Va Mains to say " Look D.Va Mains here is a new Mech Hero in the House " :stuck_out_tongue:

While I hate Dva as a character, I did main her for a time and she was even my first golden gun because I liked her playstyle. Now that she’s so different… I kinda want my competitive points back…

Eh, the animation timing is pretty poor and you never see Hammond blow the bubble most of the time. It’s a pretty average victory pose imo, done rather poorly.

A hamster is more important to them than a launch character.

Part of me feels like Hammond is essentially a giant bird to DVa players because of that hubbub with the DVa armor nerfs ‘back in the day’.

Just have to wait and see. If the next hero comes out, has more lore, and everyone gets more lore and DVa remains a pink cinderblock of personality, gonna have to chalk that up to they dont like DVa.

ON THE UPSIDE: I get to play reaper more often and shoot an annoying rodent in the face. So theres that.
