I dont think Moira is capable of love… Look at what she did to the poor bunny!
Why does it have to be romantic? In retribution, she seems pretty friendly to all of them. Almost like they’re comrades or something, and have learned to trust each other for their very survival in dangerous situations. And we know she joined Talon for the research opportunities, not because she has anything personal against Overwatch.
Besides, she obviously ships McCreeper. “You two are adorable.”
it was from wikipedia, which i looked up the sources before hand. i stated it because it’s the most basic definition. as with any other mental studies, psychopathy is always changing. like as mouse said even sociopathy has been changed to antisocial.
like i said, psychopathy most often if have a tendency towards violence and aggression. when i meant basic definition, i mean that majority of the definitions often include it.
but that doesn’t mean that they show this, for example if they know how to handle they’re emotions and what not.
I don’t really want to have a debate about different definitions etc. It’s already known that the definitions get tossed around a lot. From now on, I’m just going to use the term psychopath regardless of what the current psychology book says based on what it has been in the past/recent past.
But to assume that psychopaths are violent/aggressive and just don’t show it is about as good as saying that they aren’t necessarily violent/aggressive. We can’t exactly tap into their brains to find out.
Personally, I believe it’s better to assume the latter, as it probably isn’t healthy to assume that every psychopath is going to hurt you without remorse. As I’ve said many times, they are extremely common in our societies; lawyers, paramedics, business owners, doctors, law enforcers, prison guards, film directors, literally anybody can be a psychopath and still manage to function perfectly well in society. It’s just the way their mind functions, the way they view the world.
This is gonna be my last reply here, for now at least. I can’t be bothered repeating the same thing over and over any more.
I think their interaction comes off as more Moira talking down and being condensending toward McCree rather than a “love” or “attraction” for him.
Moira really doesn’t come off as someone who would get romanticly involved with others seeing as how she’s more concerned with her reasearch.
This is an interesting interpretation you’ve come up with though.
understood. while i understand that your pov and understanding of physchopathy comes from a friend, i also recently chatted a friend who’s also taking her masters on psychology and they confirmed that psychopathy is often accompanied by aggression and violent tendencies. i’m not saying you and your psychologies friend are wrong, but as far as i can tell you guys seem to have a ‘looser’ definition of it that while me and my friend seem to have a more strict and rigid definition.
I don’t think Moira is the type for romantic interaction of any sort…
…but to answer your question, no.
Those two never have and most likely never will have any form of romantic affection for one another.
If it helps, socio etymology is society.
Psycho comes from psyche which means soul or being.
Pathy means disorder or disease.
Sociopath means disorder about social norms; such as empathy, rules, boundaries.
Psychopath means disorder of the mind, literally breaking from their humanity entirely; such as violence and murder.
Edit: clarification.
No Moira is a lesbian :c
A narcissist is also incapable of feeling empathy. It’s not just admiring themselves.
Not really. Psychopaths are generally stupid af. Yeah there are genius ones but they are very rare (thank God). RL isn’t a movie.
Personally, I feel that Moira is asexual.
I assumed Moira is scisexual (science sexual)
Moiras dedicated her life to her work (actual quote) so i doubt she has the time for romance. She finds him endearing like a baby rabbit if anything.
I’d be on board for that. She doesn’t seem like the crush and romance type, but I can see her maybe gravitate towards him in a kind of “Oh look at you puff out your chest, Mr. Cowboy. You at least entertain me” kind of way. She surprisingly sassed Winston, who you’d think she’d at least show some respect to.
This is a video game.
This is how I flirt.
Maybe. She is 10 years older than him though so maybe she just viewed him as the noble child of the group. They didn’t really go too deep into Mccree’s character yet (or anyone’s, really) but maybe she likes his heroic innocence? Genji was in a state of bloodlust and Reaper, an old and probably far from noble man - she probably saw issues with all of Overwatch but thought that Mccree was pure in a way. A bit dumb, but still always had his heart in the right place? Haha
You didn’t see the comment I was answering right?
