Did hanzo get a buff or something? I swear every game I’ve played has had a Hanzo in it and he magically gets team kills. I know he’s lucky but really?

1 second cooldown buff on leap, other than that hes is just terribly designed, choke/corner spam oneshot hero

Indirect buffs from mccree being nerfed and queen being gigabuffed. He just happens to be favored in the current meta, nerf queen and he will be replaced.

They nerfed every other competing dps’s so the jack of all trades is now king of many trades now.

All he got was a one second buff to his jump. The reason he is being played more is because he’s fun to play and most of you dont know how to properly counter him. All the counters hanzo had also got nerfed so thats not any better. Genji being the very best counter to hanzo is in a really bad spot therefore hanzo is now being played more. Its about time people realize genji is a necessary evil and needs his nerfs reverted in order to fix the sniper issue. Anyone notice how snipers were barely being used season 1? It was mostly sojourn and pocket ashe with the occasional widow. Genji kept hanzo and widow in check, thats the thing a lot of the low skill players conveniently forget.

I just play him because he has cool skins and his bow is pretty satisfying.

Its the truth, you want to know the reason hanzo is good? Hanzo is the same as he has been for years. Heck he even got his storm arrow nerfed before OW2. Hanzo didn’t suddenly become god tier, his actual counters simply got nerfed to the ground.

yeah his counters got nerfed and yet they buffed his mobility. it’s great mobility too especially since it’s 4s now. he literally has no weaknesses

Im a GM hanzo main and yes I do agree the jump buff was not needed. Blizzard said hanzo was struggling but I wasn’t lol. I accepted my heroes weakness and I simply played smarter by focusing more on positioning. Then genji got nerfed pretty hard, sombra is meh now, winston is a joke, dva is still pretty good but supports are too good now so dva cant reliably kill hanzo the second she dives him. Its so many changes other heroes have gotten that hanzo out of nowhere suddenly got really good. Thats what happens when people want certain heroes nerfed to the ground. Everyone wanted genji nerfed so hard and the hero is literally the very center of the balance when it gets to snipers.

no-shield tank meta means Hanzo can just spam for days and farm predictable shots.
He can pressure out an overly aggro tank better than most other dps.
I see a bit of rise in Pharah gameplay too tho, so that could help keep Hanzo in check. Echo would be great too, also to burst down JQ.

No, he’s just overtuned and it’s been hidden from the community for a while because so many things have been absolutely busted, since s1.
Soon, everyone will probably be crying for a nerf. Idk how he could get one without being totally gutted outside of them fixing his hiding his headbox while nocking an arrow, though. Perhaps reverting the weird change storm arrow got, I guess…or the questionable lunge CD buff…why is it a lower CD than LW’s awful dash???
