You’re both right. Diamond is obvs diamond but the skill of players from 2900-3100 is the exact same. As someone who has bounced from 3400 to 3000 for months, I can say this with confidence.

But they also care just enough that they’re still toxic if they lose.
High plat is widely accepted as the worst ELO of all time. People care so much about hitting diamond that they get super toxic about any mistake. They also think that 2900 SR is basically diamond so they are better than everyone else. The only rank I remember being this bad was high bronze when I was a garbage plebian with no FPS experience and a potato PC.
That’s all that needs to be gleaned from this post. Can’t even hide your toxicity on the forums, wonder how bad you are in game.
I can attest to this. I’ve been everywhere between 2700 and 3600, but boy oh boy is 2950-3000 a pain bracket. The teams are always a mess and there’s a ton of random really high skilled players who probably decayed down there. Dunno, but I always notice it.
