Developer Interactions Lacking?

By your own admission, other companies have sued and Netflix keeps doing it. So, that plan is working out brilliantly… Meanwhile, Blizzard fans don’t get adaptations while Riot fans do. Netflix isn’t the only game in town, and yet here we are, not an adaptation in sight.

Moreover, why would Blizzard want to keep an employee who doesn’t want to be there? And if they did want to keep them, why didn’t they match the offer? Not like Activision Blizzard King Microsoft is short on resources. They could have avoided this and done right by fans.

They chose not to.

How many game related shows on netflix are good?
This is one of those “You can, but should you?” situations.
I don’t think we’re missing much.

Clearly you haven’t seen Arcane

One out of… So many failures recently. On or off of netflix.
I wanted the Halo show to be something. They had a budget and everything

The Halo show was good—Season 2 anyway. And The Last of Us makes three quality adaptations from mid- to above-average source material.

Now, imagine what could arise from the rich source material Blizzard has on offer. So much wasted potential. And for what?

Netflix’s Arcane is pretty damn amazing. And shows based around video games in general can be absolutely astounding. Case in point, just look at Fallout on Amazon Prime. Or? Better yet, look at the Yakuza show about to come out that’s based on the SEGA games. So on and so forth.

From my understanding, the employee had a contract with 1 year left, and an option to extend another year.

…because that’s not how business works?

No. You don’t do business with a company that is poaching your employees.

If you want to blame anyone, blame netflix.

Which is why I said if some other streaming service wanted to pick up their shows, they would probably do that.

But guess what? Every streaming service does not just pick up every show that is presented to them.

They can be. Most of the time though, they are not.

why the comunnity has become toxic? maybe for the bad team balance and 0 comunication?

Jeff & some of his team use to come here and interact but the new team no longer.

They were kinda keeping their heads down to meet the corporate deadline they had Yesterday.
Which they met and succeeded.

They are probably also not gonna do much next week because of US Politics.

But I would be surprised if they haven’t atleast changed Widow’s projectile size by November 12th.
Since they gotta have code ready on November 18th, for the 2 weeks Console Certification process, to have it ready before the December 6th Marvel Rivals launch date.

It’s literally how business works.

Well there are some of us who remember the good old days of CM’s and occasionally the devs stopping by the forums dropping a few comments and occasionally roasting someone. That was back when the game was good.

Now days, well everyone has an opinion on the state of the game. It seems to have lost direction. It seems more focused on selling skins and cosmetic items what as a user you don’t get to see them in game really. Unless you spend you time emoting and not helping your team.

Which leads to another issue. It has been shown time and time again that players can gang up and get another player banned. So if someone were to spend money in the item shop and step on someone’s toes in a figurative sense and their account gets banned all that money is GONE!!!

It’s literally not, which is why he was under contract, and why netflix was sued.
