Demoted from endorsement level 2?

So I quickly got level 2 endorsement from playing a lot and doing well.
Today I tried out the LFG thing and got even more endorsements.
After the second game, my endorsement level suddenly went back to 1, no warning, nothing.
Anyone else experienced this?
Is this how this is supposed to work?
Is it a bug?

Being reported doesn’t reset the level, being punished does.

Someone on the other team was saying racial slurs constantly and raging, but I doubt reports would reset the level or it would be heavily abused.

Nothing happened at all, if by punishment you mean stuff like getting muted or banned.

Yeah, then it might have been a bug I would say.
What about the green, purple and orange colors around the circle, still there?

Yep, nothing changed except endorsement level.

A level reset would most likely reset everything, it os probably a bug. Try posting on Bug Report :slight_smile:

It shows lvl 2 on your profile.

You have to solo queue to maintain it. I think that was the intent, you get a group cool, but to the general public its a way to know you are a good teammate.

Weird, it shows level 1 in game, can’t link a picture but yeah.
It even showed the notification that the level went down, guess it’s a visual bug.
I’ll report it on the bug forum, thanks.

You have 42 endorsements recorded, and you are listed as a level 2 :slight_smile:
However it could have dropped in-game, before the servers here at the forum has updated.

Actually, nevermind.
I just logged out and back in just in case, as restarting the game did nothing, felt like testing it here.
As you guys can see, I’m back to level 1, you were able to see I used to be 2.

It randomly demoted and I don’t see there would be decay as I got like 5 endorsements the game before.

This is really strange, because now you are listed with 66 endorsements (24 more than before) yet your level has dropped. Personally I needed around 100 to get to level 2. Might just be that they have “patched” the algorithm slightly and that affected you? I would just keep at it, and you will probably get it back pretty soon :slight_smile:

How do you check the number of endorsements?
I am sure I didn’t get more than 100 but my profile shows level 2
I didn’t check in game yet

Not sorcery. It is a hidden metric in your profile. But as it is “hidden” I am not sure Blizzard want us to know about it. So I am not going to risk being suspended for sharing the secret :wink:
After all this is a privacy aspect, they probably don’t want people to stalk other people based on exactly how many votes they have gotten. However when you asked for it yourself, I felt it was okay to check it out.
