So I’ve been trying so hard to main as Tracer. She is IMPOSSIBLE to manage but I’m still working at it. With that being said if I were to be able to eliminate/delete two OP hero’s from each category, these would be my picks.
TANK: Roadhog and Ball. I’m not that concerned with Hook, however, Take A Breather is so OP to a Tracer trying to do any damage to a Hog, there’s no comparison to even try and 1v1 that matchup. And ball is just too fast and his armor is very OP.
DAMAGE: Cassidy and Sombra. Cole’s Hinder just stops Tracer in her tracks it sucks. Sombra is just a ridiculous hero in general. I’ve tried to 1 clip Sombra before she goes Stealth and it’s pretty impossible.
SUPPORT: Kiriko and Illari. I can’t even get close to Kiri to melee without getting two tapped and Illari’s Pylon and her quick shooting abilities can easily match up to Tracer. I also feel like hero’s with an extensive kit, like Mei, Sombra, Torb, Sym are also very hard to play against as a Tracer. Who would you chose?
I would choose Ana/Brig to block as Tracer, i did a tracer stint for a while, only really had issues with Ana (nade is such a pain) and brig (1 hit, shield bash, whipshot = Dead)
I find both Ana and Brig hard to counter as well but for me, Brig is more of a hard counter than Ana. When I 1v1 a Brig, I always think to myself of how people used to bring up the GOAT Meta and I get anxious and feel like I can’t counter any Brig. So I’d say she’s harder to get around over Ana.
Delete Ana… for the sake of every single hero.
Ban Doom to save us from all the trash Dooms that single handedly lose us games, and to protect us from all the good Dooms that run lobbies. And then idk, ban Widow maybe. Theres Genji and Sombra (bothers me when Juno) too, but I suppose they have to actually come get me, unlike Widow.
None of them
Banning a hero, any hero, is inappropriate in any game like this where for almost a decade, players were promised the right to pick the character they wished to play
This 2nd instance of a hero ban system should not exist, as it tramples upon individual players rights
the first system failed and was quickly removed…hopefully this will occur again with this new system
That’s right. We got to remember about our OW2 rights, enshrined in the constitution of Widow’s behind. Besides, wouldn’t you say that hero bans have already been tried and they failed spectacularly or miserably?
I don’t think deleting characters would make playing Reaper any less difficult (at least not until like half the roster is deleted). Bad kit design = bad time.
Bait and dodge with Blink. The Cree Nade vs Tracer match up is as old as time. Practice in Tryhard FFA, there are plenty of Cree players. Tracers ability to bait CDs like Flashbang, Sleep and countless others simply with good movement and timing is one of the things that make her the best duelist. Sorry to say, but if you’re talking about something as simple as that, it’s just a skill issue that needs to be practiced.
Movement and engagement timing (and possibly engagement angle).
Shoot the Pylon first. Also see Kiri advice.
I don’t even know what to say. Other than trying to farm Pulse, why would you seek that 1vs1 in the first place? There’s a million jobs Tracer has to do.
rights? i didn’t see anything about this in the agreement i digitally signed.
The Hog thing was geared more towards DeathMatch. That’s where I’m trying to practice more as Tracer. There and in vs AI.
Oh! Then I’d recommend going into Gamebrowser and looking for “Tryhard FFA” (might have to change the filter setting so that currently full lobbies show up so that you can join in spectator until someone leaves). It’s the best way to practice mechanics on heroes like Tracer. No tanks and cheese heroes there, and only people actually practicing, instead of all the crap you get in normal FFAs. Back when I mained Tracer, I used Tryhard FFA as a warm up for 30-60mins before queueing for Comp. Although there might not always be a full lobby if you’re playing at unusual times, and there are lots of people who really just grind their mechanics there for years so don’t be discouraged, just stop looking at KDR completely and focus on specific things you wanna practice, sth like “today I wanna focus on using Blinks to dodge abilities/shots” or “Today I wanna use Blinks for unpredictable movement” or whatever. If you wanna practice aspects of duels vs Cree, Kiri, Ana, other hitscans, that’s the place to go!
