See, you make negative remarks in this thread. Before that, nobody was complaining here. I am not the same person, who would be angry about “having it in face”, I just wanted to inform people about it. That´s all.

the targeted ads you are going to get now…

If it’s balls, don’t mind. If it’s basketball…

EW GET IT AWAY FROM ME GET IT AWAY FROM ME

right…

And with “negative remarks” you mean me pointing out that pride still exists for good reason? which then sent ‘RandAlThor’ on a rant?

Well there’s the “business” side, and the personal “dev” side of this subject (which are of course still linked). Overwatch was pretty diverse right from the get-go, even before it became a sensation. I think the devs making the heroes were / are quite genuine. Though Blizz-- the company-- might still be raking in some extra incentives and have ulterior motives of course. But I think the relation between the character themselves and the Overwatch dev team is genuine, personally.

I don’t get that vibe from some other empty inclusiveness from certain other media, when they include it out of obligation rather than genuine appreciation.

But I could of course be wrong. It’s just my perception that it seems more genuine from Overwatch devs, even if the business still takes advantage of it for the wrong reasons.

EDIT: I think I just said the same roundabout thing like 5 times in a row, lol. Sorry.

I literaly don´t get it, why you two started beef here.

I ‘started beef’ because I POINTED OUT THAT PRIDE STILL EXISTS FOR GOOD REASON.
Listen to yourself.
Also funny that you call me out as an instigator, yet choose to ignore others who have tried riling things up more.

Oh, many of us do.

We very much do.

I don´t really care, why or who started it, or who is worse. I just want it to stop.

I just don´t believe them anymore. They failed me as a company. As a woman, who has to face sexism in their games - to find out, how they treated their own female employees.
No. I am not gonna ever believe they care about women, queer people or minorities.

Then why do you knowingly ‘fan the flames’?

That’s totally fair. I don’t blame people for these kinds of feelings, especially with the state of the last few years of “businesses”. as well as dealing with a-holes.

EDIT: oh yeah, and those unacceptable fiascos of which you mention, that may still unfortunately linger a bit in the company.

…I don´t?
And if you feel I am unfair - I ignored frst two of people you quoted just to NOT “fan the flames”.

Being shoved in our face so hard that… most people probably dont even know they have their own pride banners unless they saw someone point it out (Thats how I learnt they had their own banners, which I promptly equipped their NB banner upon being notified of said banner)

If they only announce namecards for a very specific thing and nothing else…yeah maybe people would feel that way. Announce all new content or none at all. I’d honestly like to see a “What’s New” tab/section that is super obvious, that can benefit everyone. Or if they want to go Event/Theme specific, add a “notify me” toggle you can opt in/out of. Pop ups, regardless of what its for, is never a great idea if you aren’t able to turn them off.

I think we had that in OW1 and I miss it a lot. I am tired of putting all kinds of filters, just to see all skins for season. I give up for the rest of cosmetics.

the thread was started with a huge complaint about a non-issue.
and was followed by a bunch of whining about pronouns by the usual types.

I didn´t notice any “huge complain”, just two people, I ignored on purpose.

Wait, you do? Time to log on for free stuff I guess. Thanks for the heads up.

They literally painted a map with rainbow and released and advertised several short stories how did they not have an announcement??

I mean that “pop - up” thing, when you log into the game…
