Couldn’t agree more. Role lock is awful, and makes the game less fun in every conceivable way. There are literally no benefits to it whatsoever, and now every game has the same boring comp as the last one. 222v222, I’m so sick of it.

What were they thinking when developing that? ‘Oh, it’ll be fun to lock people into a certain role for the entire duration of a match!’, wut?!?!?!

I hear overwatch 2 will have an improved system, where it will lock you into playing a specific character for the duration of a season.

As a tank main, it’s the best thing that’s happened in a while. I get two healers to keep me alive every game. I don’t have long queue times. That’s a bummer for y’all but doesn’t affect me

the dps q is a small price to pay for a better game tbh and if u are playing baptiste as a budget dps since u cant get a fast game then u are just not fit for ocmpetitive im sorry to say, also 2-2-2 is a better dictator than goats was, im about the same ranks as u and also dont have a problem with the dps q time on na my highest q time was 10 minutes

qp classic is different in a number of respects from pre-222 qp

and there is no comp classic at all

Absolutely not. 2 2 2 is much better for balancing heroes and for a healthier meta. It’s better for low and mid ranked players so that a role doesn’t get neglected.

It’s funny how a minority warned everyone about the pitfalls of role queue (like me); but the vocal majority screamed that it’s better than non-RQ or not trying.

And now so many (maybe not the majority) are screaming that they want the old system again.

Do you not understand that removing RQ won’t make the game better? Do you still not understand why the game was and still is so awful?

Hint: Nobody wants to tank.

Tanking is both necessary and it’s a misery play. In a fast paced game most of the tanks are slow, easy CC targets, and generally miserable to play.

Even the PTR changes won’t be enough. Fix the underlying problem and the queue times will balance itself.

God, stupid posts like these are bringing out the cranky old man in me.

Right? First the 222 cult wouldn’t use LFG. Then they forced it on everyone and killed half the playerbase. Now they push us asside to QPC. Still no ranked incentives there. Still a garbage game otherwise.

No. You don’t measure meta-level health by overly rigid FOTM/cheese that is must-pick viable. You measure a healthy meta by diversity, inclusion, freedom, creativity, ability to play whats fun and what you want and be competitive with it. Basically everything that pre-222 was.

I do not see anything results about the benefits, only dissatisfied threads

2-2-2 is bad, but many people not use this forum and just drop the game.
also, here are many low rank players, who cannot speak on behalf of all players

Nice lie there… if you filled as needed you would rarely be sitting in 10 minute queues because tank is always needed. Anyone that stubborn never played as a team… they forced it on someone else or though games on hog.

I can’t stand role queue, and it’s killed the game as far as i can tell. I’m shocked they haven’t said “whoops… please come back people?”

Do you honestly think our dps queues would be much better there? I got a dia account that i play w/ a plat friend with maybe like once or twice a month and no, que times are the same

Aswell as on my 3.8 and 3.9 acc in europe, still 10-12 minute queues. Theres no such thing as regulary 30 minute queues unless you que at the dumbest times.

when you took 3.9k of raiting, was there a blockage of roles at that moment?
I think 2-2-2 didn’t affect
