Thats not a counter
thats genji winning the matchup, the teamfight and ultimately the game because he stalled enough time
that doesnt happen like at all considering the low cooldowns
you cant really bait something that he is actively using against you, theres a reason why he has one of highest survive rate out of any dps
You know that while you are not shooting at him, he’s also not shooting at you back. Focus someone else for few moments, then go back to shooting genji.
That aside the ability is too strong, since there will always be that one person on your team who will keep shooting until someone else dies. /s
It’s a slightly different flavor of wraithform, or ice block, or fade, or any other teleport/no damage ability in the game (of which there are many). It’s got some things it does better (damage) and some things it does worse (beams and attacks not from the front).
Exactly, thanks for proving my point once again
unless you actually believe 2 seconds is not a long time in a game like OW
it kinda is compared to what it does and comparing it with other heroes cds
he is not as broken as current junkrat per se, but he isnt very healthy for the game either with all the cheese mechanics
That deflect isn’t actually OP and is a cooldown that requires him to get value or else he’s just throwing…?
But it’s two seconds where all you have to do is not shoot at him. It’s inherently just not an overpowered ability, you’re just bad. Further down here…
You think junkrat is broken. So you’re just hardstuck in the metal ranks coping that some things you need to play against require you to have awareness. Awareness that you don’t have if you think either of those things are OP. Junks counterplay is literally just paying attention lol. He’s good on ladder, not broken. Nowhere near.
It deflects with shooter priority (you deflecting) which makes it impossible to react
and at the same time it has cancelation which is also applicable to shooter’s priority which is impossible to react. It gives you the opportunity to close the gap, do free damage twice, and not to take damage at the same time. How is this balanced on 8 seconds cooldown? If you try to predict deflect, you present the same value for genji as if he just gets free damage on you with nothing going back at him.
Consider where genji needs to be positioned in order to get value with deflect. That alone already has inherent risks, he’s taking far more risk than you are to shoot him once to bait it out.
So, you’re telling me that genji has to be positioned, not versing the positioning and contest it? That’s something new.
He has too many tools to talk about the risk. Shift into face, 180, couple right-clicks, done, shift away with weabo slogan. His only risk is getting hard countered or diffed, the same as widow or sj and hanzo for instance. All this doesn’t make his ability equally balanced with actual risk in matches where he’s picked to make a play. Now try to hitscan the genji knows how to abuse his hitbox so you flick walls and air unless you are 4.7k peak hitscan on Adderall for breakfast and ADHD for life. Oh wait, he’s got new deflect already…
I had to ask my soldier not to shoot genji when he was deflecting, especially not through my bap window. He said okay, then I died to reflected boolets.
Especially for a hero like Brigitte who’s entire existence at the start was meant to offer herself as a tentative counter to flanking heroes. Genji is the one flanker that ironically is probably the strongest against Brigitte in the sense that blade kills her fairly regularly with her lower HP now and lack of stun.
He has the range advantage against her allowing him to whittle her down and only having whip shot every 4secs to really keep him away. Shield bash does give her something to force inspire, but it does require you to wait for him to come to the ground floor and within like 10m range.
Genji being called a braindead hero is the dumbest popular take of all the Overwatch community. He’s easily one of the most demanding DPS hero in terms of raw skill, and thats not debatable.
Absolutely not. His bloated kit raises his skill floor by just a smidge, but after that he’s a pubstomp hero with so many get-out-of-jail-free cards that it makes even Mr. Monopoly blush.
Ya’ll CRIED with WEEPING and GNASHING of teeth saying Genji was DEAD from losing like 1-2 damage per shuriken. Imagine— lmao.
