Damage Hero Concept: Stalker

Notes: I’m not entirely sure about the Ult. It feels a bit weak but the area denial would be very difficult to work around on certain maps (next to useless on others). The damage values are guesswork at best, but I wanted a Damage dealer that specialized in ambushes and creative engagements with flankers and mobile heroes.

Name: Pella Imbry (Stalker)
Role: Damage
Country: Carribean Islands

HP: 150
Shields: 100

Aesthetic: Athletic, black woman in sleek, starry black armour. Wrist gauntlets that glow with hardlight energy and cybernetic legs from the knee down, that end in three pronged bird-like feet with razorsharp talons for toes. A long black braid with multi-coloured ribbons, beads and small flashing lights hangs down her back. A broad, feral and expressive face.

Movement ability: Cling

Pella can attach herself to a vertical surface by pressing the jump button a second time when landing on/touching that surface. She will remain there until the jump button is pressed again, after which the ability will go on a short 3 second cooldown.

Primary Fire: Hardlight Fletchettes

Pella’s wrist gauntlets launch hardlight fletchettes at her opponents, peppering them with razorsharp projectiles while she strafes across the battlefield.

Damage: 10 in bursts of 5 fletchettes. .2 second delay between each burst.
Ammo: 30
Projectile Speed: Slightly faster than Genji’s shuriken.

Secondary Fire: Light Javelin

Pella forms a hard-light javelin from her wrist gauntlets and launches it at an enemy, piercing through to a second target for half damage if one is behind the first.

Damage: 90
Ammo Used: 15
Cooldown: 3 seconds.

Ability 1: Shatter Clone

Pella makes a small dash in a chosen direction, leaving behind a hardlight statue of herself in a stationary location. Capable of being destroyed (or detonated after the ability comes off cooldown again) the clone provides sensory input for Pella, showing any enemies or constructs within a 5 meter radius. When destroyed, the clone inflicts damage to any enemies or constructs inside that radius.

Duration: 15 seconds or until destroyed
Health: Pella’s current Shield health.
Damage: 75

Ability 2: Tether trap

Pella throws a cybernetic attachment at an enemy, which attaches to them and then tethers to the ground. The trap will reduce the enemy’s movement to a single, 2 meter radius location, preventing movement abilities from activating while the enemy is tethered.

Duration: 4 seconds

Ultimate: Scythe pool

Pella charges her hard-light systems and cybernetics to form a glowing whirlpool of hardlight blades that rises from a chosen area. All targets caught in this area suffer heavy DoT and are slowed for 25% of their movement.

Damage: 50 per second spent inside the radius.
Radius: 15 meters
Height: 5 meters
Duration: 6 seconds

Background: A cybernetically enhanced bounty hunter, Pella Imbry has made a name for herself in the underground black markets of the world selling her services to the highest bidder available.

Some suggest that her loyalties shift and change with her mood and she has worked for the likes of the Shimada Clan, Talon and Vishkar all. The truth, however, is that Pella is loyal only to her payday and her integrity as a Stalker of unparalleled skill. Once she decides on a target, it is only a matter of time before she hunts them down and brings them in.

I really like this idea sounds like a fun hero to play.

Should include something about the ult- like red dots indicate where the damage will come from so you can dodge it. 50 damage per second with a range of Lucio’s crossfade? It’ll be a pain, but I think it’s more interesting for blades to come raining from the sky.

A raining ‘meteor shower’ sort of effect could work really well too. Rather than a localized solid AoE effect, it could be a shower of smaller AoE impacts within a central area.

The thing about Damage to take away from it, is that it is a DoT. So each tick of 50 counts down. Quickly, mind you, but the next 50 ticks down only after the first 50 has finished so it isn’t as intensive as it might sound but will be a solid counter to Lucio’s crossfade/ult etc.

Appreciate the feedback!
