with streaming he’ll probably make more than his owl salary
You do know that not everyone likes him, right?
They probably told him he needed to clean up his image and act more professional and he decided it wasn’t worth it.
I didn’t read about it. Citation needed.
Do you actually need it? If so I got you, but it is pretty long
It’s obviously a fanboy or girl. I wouldn’t bother replying.
Yes. I know nothing about what he’s talking about

It’s a read, take it with a grain of salt, though. They are unsubstantiated claims and there is no way to know he is telling the truth since he didn’t go to anyone that actually could have done anything about what he alleges happened.
Hmm I believe him. That’s shameful. I hope Blizzard internally made some changes to make it easier for employees to report abuse.
He actually did go to people that could have done something about it. He had a therapist and a doctor and a supervisor that he talked to about it.
Most likely he didn’t have particularly good lawyers and he didn’t write things down.
Feel bad for the guy.
Eh. He said he had opportunities to tell people in charge and chose not to. Makes it hard for me to believe him but to each their own.
Supervisors that were equal level coworkers don’t actually have power over you even if they are above you. He may as well have just been complaining to a friend, therapist and doctor can’t report anything. He should have told Kim or another director of the project and he didn’t.
That is very common in a situation where the supervisor is participating out of fear of retaliation. And that was true in his case. It also started at a time where they didn’t have adequate HR presence though he admits he didn’t make use of them when he did.
He didn’t go to everyone he could have, and he didn’t write things down, but a successful lawyer could have compelled the supervisor to speak for example.
Edit
A doctor can’t tell anyone unless you tell them to.
It really doesn’t matter, I’m not derailing the thread. That was months ago and is done with
I just found out about it now. Haha.
Anyway, I am mostly just saying it so others in a similar situation know to write things down and ask for the release of their medical records, etc.
I believe the guy but don’t think he did himself any favors in handling it. I hope Blizzard made some internal changes because they are kind of lucky this guy didn’t handle it correctly.
Eh, it’s only if he is 1. telling the truth and 2. it was everybody instead of just one person.
He makes it sound like it was the entire department instead of just 1 person, which made him less credible to a lot of people when he came out with it.
The “entire department” was like 3 people, 2 of which were in positions of authority over him.
Fine, read it as he made it sound like every person he worked or come into contact with was against him, any more than 1 person is still more than the people actually being mean to him.
It was 1 person being mean to him mostly. But she was friends with the person in charge. He tried telling his immediate supervisor but he didn’t do much about it.
He then failed to tell human resources and his new manager, by his own admission, because he was scared, embarassed and mentally ill. So instead he tried to find different employment within the company and started talking to counselors.
Either way it doesn’t matter, it’s done and I’m not talking about it anymore.
That’s fine. I don’t mind. Just clarifying that it wasn’t everyone he was accusing.
