I have no idea what you guys are talking about…
The OWL will kill itself before any other game does. All OW’s competitors have to do is step aside and watch.
OWL will kill itself sooner. Chengdu Hunters is only the first
CS2 and OW2 does not even share the same player base or players who are interested in the respective game… besides that OW2 and CS2 are both shooters, there are no similarities.
People should try to invent things to “kill OW”.
Hmm… every playerbase overlaps with another.
I play Ow but also other shooters, mmorgps, rpgs, racing games, pokemon…
But I don’t think that one league can kill the other. It’s not like I cannot watch both (assuming I was interested in it).
I could also play cs while watching OWL…
CS2 will likely not impact the Overwatch scene much.
I do however see the Overwatch 2 esports scene completely imploding though, I’d argue it has been all downhill since Stage 4 of season 2 of OWL
And you can go back and watch ot years later if you want! Usually.
OW2 esport scene was practically stillborn anyway. It was an absolute mess to watch and became very predictable.
YouTube is great because you can pause the stream while it’s live compared to Twitch were the stream has to be over before you can pause and rewind it. YouTube Drops also are claimed automatically without having to use any webbrowser extentions.
Twitch is better when it comes to emotes. Twitch has support for BTTV, FrankerFaceZ and 7TV and I find emotes to be one of the main things that makes chat much more fun.
These games aren’t even competing with each other. OW2 and CS in general play so differently they’re not even comparable. At least Valorant is vaguely relevant in that it’s a hero shooter with cartoony graphics.
