How are they play the game the way you’re supposed to and not be a onetrick. Go play something else
Actually, countering was a large part of ow1 hell 80% of the current counter philosophies came from ow1.
Depends. Is everyone mirroring? If not, even if me and the enemy tank is on rein, I might still be forced to switch and “break the honor” if the enemy DPS swaps to bastion.
Sometimes the tank on the enemy team asks me to swap to rein and have a “respectable rein duel”. But I can’t accept the duel if the enemy DPS is on bastion and ours isn’t.

I play hog and in hog vs. hog probably 90% of the time they switch Orisa. They should be dropped down the ilios well and never allowed to play hog again.
I’ve had games where I had lucio+mercy or some other terrible support combo for countering hog and the other team has zen+ana or ana+kiri, and their hog switches as soon as they see I’m on hog. What an easy time they would have had on hog with those supports!
What is dishonorable is your attitude. Your team is the one who switched first to hard counter the opposing tank, and now you are taking offense that the tank isnt allowing themselves to be stepped on?
Why does everyone look at tank like the 1v1 is all that matters?
This is a team game and theres so many situations where im swapping from multiple factors, and the enemy tank types in chat acting like its all to counter swap him
Like they switch to bastion mei, im going orisa to spin turret form, and fortify to escape mei ult, or when i get walled off, not to spite the other tank lol

Tanks swap to deal with enemy DPS just as often.
Tank mirror doesn’t mean the teams are mirrored.
This. I’ll happily take a mirror but if one team is counterswapping and the other isn’t…

Mirror picks are the most boring gameplay loop in the entirety of Overwatch. Especially tank mirrors it’s not even in the hands of who’s the better tank, it’s whoever has the better supports
Any tank mirror is mind-numbingly boring. Dps mirrors too, notably Tracer, Sojourn, Widow
It really is just an admission that the other tank is better and they need to use an op hard counter to have a chance at winning. Given, team comps can have an effect on this too. Like the Rein with a bastion on his team will always beat the Rein without a bastion unless maybe the gap is several ranks.
People saying “that’s just the game” are enablers of the hard counter problem. They are boring individuals who lack the personality to have a favorite they rather get better at or play than anyone else. That or they have a main that is only soft countered and doesn’t have to suffer through counterwatch. Or they just don’t play tank because other roles aren’t required to swap like tanks are. These enablers want you to always be on a hero you don’t like playing because they’re the “right” pick. They also deny that hard counters were not as big a problem in ow1.

It is literally a strategy based team game.
You are not supposed to “mirror and charge in to see who’s the better COD player”
You are SUPPOSED to swap and counter.

If you swap to anyone during a rein 1v1, you deserve to get banned.
Rein and Winton.
But tbh tanks basically have to outplay the entire enemy team now not just the other tank. So its a rough time.
