For the last month or so since returning from school, I’ve been experiencing a consistent slight lag while gaming. I’m directly connected via ethernet to my router, and have turned off all devices in my network when playing the game to test. I’ve also run a WinMTR but don’t know much about it. I’ve already contacted my ISP but they say everything is fine on their end.

Hey there,
I don’t see an issue with those WinMTR results. You mentioned you are getting slight lag, but what exactly does that mean? Are you noticing a latency spike? Do you see the network icons on the left side of the screen when it spikes?
Can you take a screenshot or video of the Network Graph (Ctrl+Shift+N) while in a match when you experience the problem and post the link here?
Also what’s the make/model of the router and or modem you’re using?
Hi,
Thanks for the response. The “slight lag” is consistent in the sense that there is a constant, albeit minor, delay when I am playing.
While this occurs, I notice my latency (which is normally stable at 40-41 MS), creeps slowly up to around 50-55 ms, and back down again. There is no hard spike or anything like that. Strangely enough, when playing very late in the evening (4:00 AM - 6:00 AM EST), there has been stability without issue.
I initially thought this could be due to network interference on my end (e.g. parents using WiFi, etc.) but I have tested with direct connection and all other devices disconnected per my previous post.
The make of the modem is an ARRIS TM1602 (Optimum ISP) and the router is SAGEMCOM F@ST 5260 CV (Optimum ISP). I experience the problem most times of the day, so I will try and screenshot the Network Graph and attach a link to the post here after I do.
Here is a photo of the Network Graph h ttps://imgur.com/a/iXaT7kF
Also, I have attached another WinMTR when I found the fluctuation quite noticeable. Appreciate any help.

This points to a network congestion issue, since most people are not awake during that time frame using the internet. I do see the little blip in your latency (orange spike), and also a high SIM value of 90ms, but that might be because you took a screenshot immediately after opening the graph? It does cause some delays in the client of its own.
