Competitive Rank Issue

I was Silver 1 then won 7 games and it put me Bronze 1, I won 7 games again and it once again put me at Bronze 1 ?

I got the same issue. So I was ranked at gold 5 and since then every time I rank they keep putting me at a lower rank, even if I won the 7 matches straight.

I am having the same issue, was gold 2 went to gold 1, won 7 put back to gold 2, and then won 35 games (5 promo screens) and each has placed me back in the same gold 2 rank

This is a pretty common issue sadly, saw someone drop from Diamond 5 right back to plat. Hopefully they’ll fix it

Just another update.

I went 7-3 in my next series and it still gives me Bronze 1.

Has there been no communication from Blizzard on this issue?

It’s been 4 months since someone posted here, I’m not great at the game, however I’d say I’m mid to high silver usually, and I think I could climb higher if it wasn’t for this. Every couple of promotion opportunities I’ve had recently, it demotes me before it promotes me. I’ll be sitting at like Silver 4 and then when the promotion screen pops up it shows I’m Bronze 5 (instead of my actual rank) and then promotes me up to Bronze 1. Then I climb back up into silver and this happens again. I get demoting a rank or so from a bad set of matches, but I’m doing decent and it demotes me all the way. This game is broken.

You are not alone in experiencing this bug. Assuming your win-loss ratio is positive, you might be experiencing the bug in which during a rerank, your initial rank is demoted five subdivisions before the adjustment takes place. There’s a ton of posts under my thread about players with those exact bugs if you’d like to read more about it. Comprehensive Thread Of All Top 500/Competitive Bugs. I put your thread under: Incorrect Rank Adjustment. If you can, could you record your bugged rank adjustment, making sure that at some point in the video it shows your pre-adjustment rank, either from the queue menu or the career profile, and link that video to the thread? Any help in spreading the word about this megathread would be greatly appreciated.
