No hero is a troll pick. there are many off meta mains who have proven dozens of times over that off meta heroes can work very well. not trying is throwing. Hero choice has nothing to do with that. But so many people like to say that heroes like Sym are “troll picks” and assume they are throwing no matter what.

Playing poorly intentionally out of spite or tilt IS throwing, yes. Playing poorly intentionally is definitely throwing, but not everyone who plays poorly is doing it intentionally. I never said it isn’t throwing to intentionally play poorly. I said playing poorly isn’t throwing. If you shot someone point blank with a gun IRL then you shot them on purpose, if you shot a bullet into a forest and it happened to hit someone then you didn’t shoot them on purpose.
I won’t say that there AREN’T a lot of people out there playing poorly on purpose, but I am 100% convinced that the people who complain on these forums think that literally everyone who plays poorly meets that criteria. Which if you use even some of simple logic, you know that’s not true
And lastly. You cannot intentionally make mistakes. Mistakes are… mistakes… You can intentionally make bad plays, which again is intentionally playing poorly, which is definitely throwing. But making mistakes is not throwing. Again, it’s not hard to understand that (I hope)
The takeaway here is that these people on the forums, including the OP here, are implying that these people INTENTIONALLY throwing are in every game. They’re just simply not and that’s a fact. Why do I know? Firsthand experience!
I’m 82 games into season 10 now. I’ve tracked every single game, and every single leaver/report/avoided player I’ve come across in comp. Guess how many leavers? 5. Guess how many reports? 5.
Season 10 has been an almost exclusively nontoxic experience for me, and I’ve been here since season 5 for the record. I’ve climbed 300+sr in my 82 games so far. No “forced” losing streaks, no overabundance of throwers, no overabundance of leavers.
The forums just want to be mad for the sake of being mad when they lose. they want to blame blizzard, or the matchmaking system (which granted, is a little iffy but not nearly as bad as described on the forums), or to blame this nonexistent cult of leavers who somehow haven’t been suspended from leaving every game and keep showing up to leave more games.
It’s. Just. Not. Right.
The forums overexaggerate everything.
