Oh lovely! My favorite event of the year was gutted and taken out to be “rotated” with the other events so we could have recolored skins. I really hope this isn’t what you meant by telling us that there would be more legendary skins than ever this year after the lunar New Years fiasco. It shouldn’t count as a “new legendary” if they aren’t new skins, we’ve even had some of them since the launch of the game.

Very simple really, just use common sense.

  1. They are just retextures
  2. No Archives
  3. No normal Anniversary
  4. No Summer Games
  5. It’s one event in place of my favorite 3, and arguably the biggest ones being Anniversary and Archives, getting rid of all the lore that comes with Archives too. As I said before, replacing 3 events with one, and the skins are just retextures. So yeah you can easily find a lot of negative things about it, don’t act like you aren’t a little sad there is no Archives or the rest

I don’t want to be a Donnie Downer but this isn’t going to sit well with the OW community if this what they meant when they said they were going to give us more legendary skins than ever this year, and if not everyone gets access to the close beta in late April…

So is every event skin coming back such as summer games and normal Anniversary or just reskins of those?

any news on maybe getting one more balance patch before the beta? Roadhog meta is pretty disliked by the majority and i know a lot of people would love to have more enjoyable heroes be strong picks.

Wish we could just buff dive/rush for the last few weeks before the beta

wow, this actually sucks lmao. i was genuinely excited for the archives to return, as i love the pve missions the most and find the seasonal pvp modes a pain to play.
also, wow, recolored skins. fantastic. that took what, 15 minutes? 10/10 creativity there guys.

because diehard egirl mercy mains, yanno, THOSE kinda people, are quick to assume just because blizzard doesn’t bring back a one time skin (good, as much as i want it, i’ve accepted it won’t come back for a good purpose), that it’s because of the misconduct and mistreatment of women. like ??? no??? it’s tied to a charity event. like how brick bastion is lego. or the wow sym/genji skins are connected to yanno, wow. we won’t be seeing those skins again. people think they’re entitled to it but really, they’re not.

That I cannot argue with.

But still…

People miss that - having new content. I sometimes miss it, too. And, with the nature of OW, the gameplay is pretty repetitive. You do the same thing over and over. If that thing is exactly your cup of tea - great, you’ll continue playing to your heart’s content. But I’ve seen everyone I used to play with move on to other games because OW became too boring for them, it could no longer bring the same excitement and entertainment.

I so so so hope this will happen. Especially since it felt like so much was taken from OW1 for the sake of 2.

And here I thought I would be having a blast for leaderboard runs and passively have fun to play my PvE events.

We’re really second-class citizen, can you guys tell us that PvE is cancelled for OW2 at this rate, I’m gonna have a better excuse to not play Overwatch and find a Roguelike or PvE game that’s prioritizing the dedicated playerbase.

Can’t wait to NOT have time to play any of the Archives games during its usual timeslot, this should have been sent to the Anniversary timeslot in May.

Absolutelly ruined the last bit I truly enjoyed, likely as well for many others. OW2 PvE BETTER BE GOOD and not costing too much, this is just really ridiculous.

Interesting, but question: Does this mean that the Anniversary Event will b in place of the other events, lasting 3 weeks each, or is it only 1 week to match what the usual size of the natural events would work? So for where Archives goes, u will get Anniversary instead, then Anniversary is normal timed, and finally, in place of Summer Games, Anniversary will b there instead? So, to elaborate, r the events replacing the old events 4 this year to test this new experiment of a Remixed event? Or is this not the case?

Yes, pretty much this.
Instead of this year Archives we´ll get this Temporary “Anniversary Remix vol 1” on Archives Event date.
Then, instead of Regular Anniversary with new “What if” Skins we will get the Volume 2 with 6 new recolors.
The same for Summer.

First of all i know all this content is free and i grateful for that, but:
For what we know for now, i only see 6 recolors for the ones who have all the challenges… thats a disapointment, i just keep losing and losing hope in this game, 2 weeks waiting more than 1 hour in diferents times for the arcade comp 6v6 just to get the goodies,got 0 games… I just cant wait the 2.0 pvp patch, we need people playing and content to gain for playing… i am almost done, the only thing i hope its getting in the beta and know the benchmarks for ow2 so i can buy a pc now and hope(again lol) the requirements dont change like last beta. And btw, i know you maybe cant respond this but well i will ask anyways maybe i have luck, Can the ryzen 5600g vega 7 graphics handle 1080p all low 60fps? (ow2) if not i will to have to work more in the wait for ow2 haha , sorry for this large reply i just explote :stuck_out_tongue:
