Coalescence in OW2

If they can’t find agree on some utility to give Moira in OW2, they should make Coalescence a transformation ultimate like how they changed Whole Hog. Coalescence is so easily countered with how much CC is stacked onto tanks, as well as Sleep Dart and Hack. The existence of Doomfist or Sombra on the enemy team means you will never get value from Coalescence unless they severely misplay or die (at which point, why waste an ult on a 4v5).

Doomfist has to barely tap her with his rocket punch to cancel Coal (and he can hit you in a crowd now, so you can’t hide behind your tank to avoid it) and Sombra can safely do it from your backline, while cloaked, as soon as you cast it. Not to mention Orisa’s new Lance, Hog Hook, Sigma Rock, and whatever new stuns will come with new tanks.

Coalescence is already a mid-tier support ult whose most important attributes once upon a time were that it charged quickly (which it no longer does) and pierced shields… which there are less of in 2. Coal’s ease of being cancelled in 2 will make it one of the worst support ults because of a longer charge time due to less tanks to heal and how easily it can be cancelled by the enemy team. Likewise, no other support ults can really be *cancelled once they begin besides hers.

Nano Boost, Beat Drop, Rally, Valkyrie, and Transcendence cannot be cancelled once they start. Valkyrie and Rally can only be cancelled if Mercy and Brig are killed. *Amp Matrix can be cancelled, but only by EMP, which is another ultimate. Lucio’s does have a cast time, but once it starts, the overhealth can’t be shorn off by EMP in OW2. Zenyatta can’t even be killed during his ult in 99.9% of situations.

I know Moira is considered one of the stronger supports in 2 due to her duel potential and Fade, but her ultimate takes even longer to charge up in 2 and I found myself holding it for ages to avoid instantly losing it as soon as I cast it. Coalescence could use some tweaks to make it more viable to use without it getting instantly cancelled, especially since carryover nerfs from OW1 and tank changes in OW2 largely negate what its original strengths were.
