Click update and downloading 13GB?

Havent played since b4 new hero…but did they seriously change enough to warrant the ENTIRE size of the game to be downloaded for an update???

Is this a bug or do they seriously want us to downlaod entire game again?

It was intended. They repackaged the game added two large game modes so that is likely the reason why. This should help reduce the next patch to remove these modes things like that. Was it necessary or helpful enough to warrant doing it? I honestly dont know but i cant see them doing it if was wasnt beneficial to them or us in some way. I honestly think ( being one of them), its sad we have to worry about these kinds of things due to slow connections or data caps…

Hey folks, you may see slow download speeds reported during a portion of the patch update. This is expected, the installer is patching/installing the data and doesn’t need to download anything at that time.

Hey everyone, I want to apologize for not having a background download for the 1.22 Retribution patch. It’s understandably frustrating to be ready to play only to be faced with a time consuming update.

In general we want to make background download available for our releases, unfortunately we weren’t able to do that for this release due to changes in how we package our game assets.

We’re working with our distribution team to make sure we can offer the background download the next time we have a large patch. Sorry again that we weren’t able to make it happen for today.
