Well; next season we have 6v6 tests; 2 of them. As well as winter and lunar events. So I assume there won’t really be room next season. And if they ever say a date and then it’s different, people will whine like crazy. So it’s probably better they just say in the future.

Arguably it’s better they give us an updated roadmap.
It’s also ‘better’ if they make a plan and stick to it, it’s not like they are still merging companies or getting bought out or changing CEOs or whatever other malarkey was going on. As a well-funded company full of adults and professionals they should be able to deliver better than indie games with tiny dev teams, yet here we are.
It’s frankly just down to communicating well while managing expectations. If they said: hey, here’s the rough time of when we’re planning this, but it may get pushed for this reason, people can understand that’s what they mean.
Way better than silence and just dropping stuff on us whenever they feel like/‘whenever it’s ready’, imo. If you’re an adult with commitments, you can’t plan around stuff like that when it lasts like 2 days.
They themselves said they wanted to be much better with communication. So show us that, don’t say you want to do it better.

Also, credit where it’s due, some of it has been better than in the past, but they still have a long way to go.
I mean, they certainly will tell us about the next owc event before it goes live. Also when they mentioned future events it was before owc even started. And likely future events would depend on how good the first one did. Think it’s fair to say it was generally well received and that we will have more in the future.
What, a full 3 days before they do it like with OWC the first time? Sorry, but like that’s not enough imo. To me, there’s no difference to that than simply just releasing it.
Do you have a source as to when they initially told us the date was coming out? Because the blog post and YouTube trailer for Classic were Nov 11th for release on Nov. 12th.

That was Nov 11th. OWC released Nov 12th.
I’m saying that’s not good enough/not enough time (it’s somewhat fine for a 3-week thing, but not like QP Hacked). On top of that, it’s written poorly like OWC will be running all of those metas in that three week time, instead of very clearly stated in other versions of OWC, coming ???

I know there was short notice in the first owc event, after they were talking about an announcement for a couple weeks, which turned out to be classic. Tho I also think short notice like that can be good, cuz soon as they announce it ppl can pretty much play it. Don’t have to be excited and wait longer.
I mean that’s called hype and these days games live and die by it.
Surprises are nice, but so is a mix of actual plans.
And we know they plan to do more owc events in the future. I would assume there would be more notice this time, since they already revealed the whole owc event structure, of playing past patches.
I’m going to be so sad when it goes away. It’s all I play now.
