Okay, but those people barely exist anymore. Maybe they were all banned or something. If you were around a few months ago, we would literally get a dozen threads about this topic a day. This was the first one I have seen since I left the game to play MK11 and I only clicked on it because I wanted to read the complaints only to find that it was a complaining about the nonexistent complaint threads. It is time to move on, bro. The fun Mercy wars are dead.

Here goes mine:
Mercy is perfect in both balance and fun aspects.
Now, whose opinion is more valuable when it comes to balancing Mercy? None, really. But whatās easier for the devs? Change her because some entitled people on the forum donāt like how she plays, even though there are no balance problems with her, or keep her the way she is?

You could actually balance her if you removed rez. Rez is too unbalanced as an ability. If you are on defense, undoing a pick is as good as saving a team fight.

Donāt ya think that if they were gonna change her they wouldāve done it already tho? I mean you can argue for your change and all but i wouldnāt have high hopes
agreed, but Iād be surprised if blizzard would be willing to get rid of Rez. Itās like her signature thing so they might be reluctant to remove it but the game would be better off without Rez
Gameplay first. Thatās blizzardās motto. Do mercy mains want a garbage mercy with rez or a balanced fun mercy? Canāt have both.

Iād assume at least some would prefer the āfun balancedā mercy without Rez. Personally Iām fine with mercy how she is now sheās not unfun to me. However, I would not be opposed to removing Rez from the game and giving her something else like how they removed scattuh and replaced it with storm arrows
Welp, āfunā is use by many more mains than just mercy players. Everyone go on and say āOh my main is not meta, its not fun she/he should be always metaā.
That how a lot of topics go on forum. Tho mains whoes hero was reworked at least have reason to do so, its not enaught to make any change for the hero or game because its opinion not shared by everyone, even if they think everyone think the same.

The honestly asinine thing is that some have openly said they would welcome mercy being terrible, a troll pick, get considered throwing for picking her if she was as fun as however they had with whatever version they liked

Exactly, but even in this very thread Iāve already basically seen āthey should change her because the forums says so and that represents the rest of the playerbaseā not even taking into account Pro players opinions, Blizzardās opinions, or the rest of the communityās opinions no they should just change her because we say so /s
Normally Iād agree, but this excuse is pretty bad.
Almost every hero that I enjoyed playing has gotten nerfed into the ground. So youāre telling me to āJust play someone else lolā when I was already used to their kit? Its not my fault Blizzards balancing is so chaotic.

Not really an excuse, more of a suggestion for your own sake. I mean itās been almost a year I donāt think the change is happening. But i guess i could be wrong of course because they did say that one time that there wouldnāt be a death match and then they made a death match so that must mean that they are going to buff mercy
Itās really not that hard to grasp.
Itās like when D.Va was considered the most broken character in the game because of Defense Matrix but lost most of her damage and tankiness. D.Va was arguably at her absolute strongest state but D.Va mains hated playing her because she was just a Matrixbot.
Or when Reinhardt was the single most dominant Tank in the game, but playing him felt absolutely awful to Rein players because Brigitte could stun him through his shield.
Itās not that difficult to understand.

This I can get behind as well. Where I get cranky is that we lost a really well made MMO style support, and never got a new one.
If they put in a good pure support where they just focused on the game play aspects around flow state, and having a strong base kit - I would leave the Mercy threads tomorrow.
But, They donāt seem to want to do that, it is like they lost their original designer for the hero (which, they may have), and never built a replacement which scratches the same itch.
There is space in the game for a really well made pure support with a non janky kit, and Mercy filled that space.
The space has opened up for a new hero, but, Iām not seeing Blizzard be even interested in making a hero to fit it.

They did say that all the upcoming heroes are supports/tanks tho didnāt they? So thereās still a chance that one of the new supports could be what youāre looking for

Yeah, but that doesnāt seem to be the direction they are looking at - though, they seem to have enough anti dive supports now.
So, Iām hopeful (as always) - but I donāt expect they will. In the mean time, Iāve been a Mei main, who is playing a side order of Brig (she is a surprisingly good healer if you remember to use that aspect of her kit). Which I am sure is making the people I play against enjoy the game.

Mei is, however is one of the most fun heroes in the game to play as 
- so there is that.
