cassidy is so bad now and i dont enjoy playing him anymore, his falloff range is so crippling that on some objectives i cant even kill people from across the capture point without hitting like 3-4 headshots in a row. ??? who thought that would be good? his ult is terrible and needs to be changed or something dunno why they made his damage reduction worse during it… i just cant feel the need to play him when literally every character can shoot from outside his damage range pretty much. im not asking for a snipers range just the range to be able to fight against characters that are more then 15m away…
Cass needs his range back 25m-35m, Cass had it all throughout OW1. Even in season 3 OW2 he had 25-45m best Cassidy ever felt to play
I think Cass only ever had the range he had back in the day because Ashe didn’t exist yet.
Their apparent vision for Cass is a brawler but with more precision than most- he’s not ashe because ashe is ashe.

Cause Ashe exists, Cassidy has to suffer? She has almost twice his range and a way stronger ultimate. Cass vs Ashe was a skilled matchup, now she just outranges him easily, he does no damage with the falloff.

Does’t he have significantly higher close and midrange lethality through fan/roll/fan, while Ashe uses a disengage to longer range that does very little damage, using displacement instead?
They butchered flashbang, it was way stronger with CC what his fan was paired for.

AND they nerfed his fan the hammer damage so you can’t even do flash/ fans anymore on squishys or punish tanks like you used to + tanks are raidbosses and just eat everything

Why would ashe stay at mid to close range. That’s the thing. Cassidy has a burst option because he’s forced to play those ranges. I don’t think anyone is asking for ashe’s range, but cass shoots blanks at max range, not even worth actually shooting.
25-40 would be ideal.

Well that’s if we want him as a gunslinger. If we want to just have it as a “well you ain’t getting away” hero as he is now, the minimum acceptable would be 20/25-35

There needs to be two different balance tiers, the average player will be fine with greater range, but if you give greater range to pros the game breaks massively.
The point is that bemoaning the better long range lethality of Ashe without acknowledging the mid to close range lethality advantage of Cass is disingenuous, dishonest, and does exactly jack to help your case.
It is clear that Ashe is intended to have better sniping with her scoped, long reload rifle than Cass with his revolver, while Cass is intended to have better close range lethality with fan and roll reload.
If you want to make the case about his skills in general, great, but don’t come here making comparisons with another hero while only presenting cherry picked info that favors your case while pretending that the advantages you have don’t exist. It really makes your argument look weak.
