I don’t know why Cass’s made was changed, but it continues to get worse. Flash bang may have been too much, and the change for OW 2 felt okay despite it being a nerf. I have no idea what this lousy nade is now. They need to fix this ASAP.
Correct, they need to give him something other than cheese kill button for his second ability.
It’s useless against tanks without CC. Tanks forever babied. Tanks can have all the CC in the world, 3-4x the health pools, stronger ultimate’s, headshot reduction, dps passive nerfs
Mobile heroes need counters.
They’ve taken Ashe’s one shot off Tracer. Cass’s nade does nothing to counter her. You can’t hack her unless she’s plays badly. Doom and ball are menaces. Even D’va mobility is a problem, but at least Zarya counters her.
The flashbang definitely gets Tracer killed if you’re good. Tracer is only good because of her movement, taking that away makes her fairly harmless.

the burst damage is good for it being an aoe

Its an imperfect solution to a problem that requires another solution, but is likely too expensive to implement.
Most movement in overwatch is purely translational. There is NOTHING that can mitigate translational movement. A slow effect would be the perfect solution if slows actually affected moves like Blink or swift strike.
Slows today only work on acceleration based abilities, not translational. If you are caught by Mei, the blink doesnt’ take longer to come out. It doenst’ go less distance. You simply escape the effects of the slow and translate 10m regardless of slowed or not. You’ll be slowed on the other side of the 10m, but getting the chance to go 10m will already have gotten you to escape the effects.
Rather than doing an very complicated rework of the system to treat each mobility tool differently and say at 50% slow you go only 5m on blink or 7.5 m on swift strike, Blizzard was like, We’ll apply a slow AND lock out the mobility tool altogether.
Rather than allowing an interaction that could be somewhere in the middle, you either get mobility that is all or nothing. This is why knockback effects as a CC are so benign compared to stuns. STuns are all or nothing. Knockbacks allows for some blending in the middle.

Nah, what they actually need is nerfs. Substantial ones, and not just pathetic ones like one second off recall’s cooldown.
Remember, we got launch Brig because they refused to nerf mobility. You’d think they would know to avoid making cheese the solution to mobility.
Because those suck. They actually thought about having Illari’s ult blind people, but when they tested it, it was confirmed that blinds do, in fact, still suck.

Look I agree and Cass is my second most played dps. BUT… the only thing that should happen to ANY mid to long range hitscan character is a nerf.
