GM team play is good because everyone’s doing the right thing at the right time. There’s no need to really coordinate in VC
I could VOD review you if you’d like
I find in competitive I lose every game.i get teams that are apparently my level but then we lose. Whereas in qp we often win. I think the compet matching uses metrics that aren’t really reliable for good team makeups. For example maybe the metric is damage weighted or kill weighted or games won or … and ignores other aspects that in analysis would prove to be more significant. Idk. But there is definitely something really crap about the matching in my case.
People are fundamentally bad at math, so they are missing the point.
“show us your codes and we’ll tell you what you’re doing wrong”
The game should be matching you with players of your skill level, no matter what that skill level is. It does not take ten seasons to figure out how well you play the game.
People are fundamentally not understanding what you are saying, because it doesn’t happen to them.
The match maker is consistently, CONSISTENTLY placing some players on the weaker team. It is either broken or it is choosing who should have a good experience and who shouldn’t. It is using some people as cannon fodder so others can win games. And the people it’s allowing to win games will answer your question
“show us your codes”
“skill issue”
ETA I checked your posting history and you’ve been making posts like this for YEARS.
Here’s the thing. This is not my first account. I had this kind of experience with my first account. I don’t remember it as constant losses. I remember it as always losing more SR for a loss than gain for a win. I see you’ve complained about that, too. For me it went on so long that I was on a march toward zero SR. So I bought another account. Had fun with it for a long time, then a switch flipped, and I was again losing more SR for losses than I was gaining for wins. Another account (this one), and it was fun until season 9 of OW2. Now I’m in losers queue. Not an SR issue anymore, I’m just ALWAYS on the weaker team.
Possibly this is a data corruption issue. Some value on your account is supposed to be in the 1-1000 range but because of a bug it’s got a value of negative 2 billion. No matter how much you play the game, it will never get back into the right range. Your account is essentially broken. Possibly. Or someone (or an algorithm) has decided you are cannon fodder for players it’d rather have in the game.
But I don’t understand why you’d tolerate it for YEARS.
I’m not playing the game anymore. This account is broken, and with the phone thing I can’t create a new one, so I guess I’m done with OW.
maybe data is being mixed weirdly, as with AI
at first it was trained on stolen real data, but ones people started using it, uploading thing with mistakes and not marking it as ai - it started learning on it’s own creationg and results are starting to get weird
Same here, with how bad ban system and ect. is - it became flooded with smurf/throwers accs and it just can’t predict anything and doing weird things
Maybe it’s so, or maybe I am mistaken
He would have to be consistent somewhere if he lost 15 games in a row on more then one occasion.
Also No one plays consistently well. Everyone makes mistakes or missteps.
If it makes you feel better, current SBMM/ MMR is very overly aggressive, you win a few matches and its going to throw you at masters and you’ll get stomped for the next 5-10 games.
I have considered this for a very long time.
Suppose the lower ranks are filled with people who kill all the noobs one game (or round, or minute), and then throw the next game (or round or minute), to stay in the low ranks. Not sure what they do when they’re throwing, but if they aren’t shooting, then this is the math of what they are doing to the game…
One game they are getting high hit percentages for their rank, and high kills per 10.
Next game they aren’t shooting, so they aren’t reducing their high hit percentage, but they are losing score on kills per 10.
On average, they have a high hit percentage, and an average kill rate, for their artificially low rank.
So, it’s possible (as one example) that blizzard has an unrealistically high expectation for how you are supposed to perform on making shots (but not getting kills).
How does this affect your progression, as a non-smurf? When you win a game, sure you win, you get credit for that, but you are underperforming your rank in hit percentage. When you lose a game, not only are you penalized for that, you are also penalized for underperforming on your hit percentage.
So it penalizes you more for losses than it rewards you for wins. Welcome to ELO hell.
I am absolutely certain that griefers screw with the game’s mathematical modeling. I just don’t know how much.
I also guessed that was coming. When people use AI and create articles that include its wrong answers, AI is going to pollute its training data with its own wrong answers.
it really varies on the teams you get i went on a 6 or 7 loss streak due to the now massively broken system as people are throwing matches deliberately or getting teams that are new to the game honestly i started losing my mind last night
And people are looking for codes, so they can see it themselves.
We had someone constantly complaining that they never won games. NOW… they also streamed, and a quick look at the stream showed he was winning around 50% of the games, they were just claiming they were not.
Maybe they should run a stream, so people can see for themselves what is going on, because we have already been down this path a number of times with people.
