I can’t log in as well, Northern VA using Verizon FIOS. I installed and re-installed, but still nothing.
I was able to log in this morning today but not this afternoon.
yup I was able to log in earlier today as well
I was also able to log in earlier, about 5hrs ago
US - PA here xfinity… cannot login. game license shows as active on my profile.
repairing game then restarting battlenet fixed my issue

I’m not sure if that could be what fixed it because some of us can log in on alt accounts, so the game is not corrupted
I thought my account got hijacked again. glad im not the only one getting this issue
This may have been a coincidence as other reports here are indicating this is not a client specific issue.
Reinstalling / repairing is not a bad troubleshooting step, but it is likely not necessary for this. We’ll be sure to share if players need to take any action.
I was ready for pew-pews only for it to not let me in, I hope this gets fixed soon.

Getting the same thing here. So, so happy to see it’s not just me.

Charter Spectrum, central US.
Also tried restarting pc and scanning and repairing. No change in behavior.
Oh and i was also playing fine like 2 hours ago, after the OP. Quit the game then tried to log back on an hour later at most and it was like this.
Beta player, have no alt accounts.

Virgin Media, UK - This doesn’t seem to be a regional issue, how long has everyone owned OW? I could play fine on my alt, my main account that I can’t enter the game with is from original 2016 OW beta.
Phoenix, AZ - Cox - Was able to get in and play earlier today, but having the same issue as everyone else now.
Yes my account has been around since beta as well. I tried restarting my computer and power cycling the router. I havn’t merged any accounts or done anything special to my main account.
Someone done some account tinkering and mixed up OW1 and 2?

The Overwatch team is performing some backend service work to prepare accounts for Overwatch 2. This process is taking longer on some accounts which is why they’re unable to log in but eventually able to pass (as we’ve seen reports of in this thread).
The team is actively working to speed up this process so affected players will more quickly be able to return to the game.
