Cannot Log into Forums on mobile (Support Ticket did not Help)

I can’t login to the forums via mobile. I’ve cleared all cache and cookies and history and etc. My account logs into Blizzard, but shows that I’m not logged in on the forums.

I get the following message instead:

Translation missing: en.login.omniauth_error.generic

Per Support’s recommendation:

I did some digging to see what I could find for you. From what I’m seeing, it looks like this isn’t a very common error!
I have spoken with specialists, and we’ve all searched to see if we could find a solution for this error, but we haven’t been able to find it. I’d recommend reaching out on the forums to see if someone is able to assist you with a solution. Overwatch Forums
I’m sorry we weren’t able to assist you directly, but good luck with the troubleshooting.
Take care, and safe journeys, wherever the road may take you.

I use an iPhone SE, if that helps

I don’t know the reason myself, but are you trying to use a social account to login?

Nope, using my existing Battlenet login that i’ve been using since I created it

Can you try logging in from a different mobile device? Or maybe an incognito window on your current one?

Incognito proved to not work, I’ll try a different device if I can find one

Did this issue ever get resolved? I also can not sign into the forums on my phone and get the same error.

I am on am iPhone 8, I’ve tried on Chrome and Safari, I cleared cookies, and I attempted it in incognito mode.

It has not, I am still unable to even after a few updates

I opened a support ticket and been told several times to try other devices. I’m not able to buy a new phone to fix a forum issue, so that’s not going to work.

I get the impression from the support responses that there is some kind of defect logged for this, but there isn’t a lot of clear communication on the status of it.

I started having this issue when I logged off my account to log into an alt. It seemed to get confused after I entered the code they had sent to my email (this is the first time I had used that alt on my phone) and that was the first time I saw the error. After that all of my accounts can’t sign in.

For one, this shouldn’t be the suggested fix at all. It’s literally giving an example of an error message. As an example: my primary device is running the newest iOS, with my other devices being tried running various versions of it including really old versions and the newest version as well. My primary device is the only one affected.

Yeah, I understand that making a website work across mobile platforms is frustrating (iOS in particular), but I think it’s a bit silly to suggest a new phone in a support ticket. I would prefer if they just told me it was a open defect and notified me when it was fixed.

Hey just an update.

I just updated my phone to the latest iOS and I’m able to log in.

Did not work with the previous update however, strange, but it works now.
